Multiple brush oil skimmer

Brush skimmers comprise of 1, 2 or 4 side-by-side banks of brushes with the "bristles" made of polypropylene to ensure a strong resistance to chemical products and at the same time only absorbing a small amount of water. Each brush row is powered by its own hydraulic engine and the skimmed hydrocarbons are pumped to a storage tank via an onboard pumping system.
This type of skimmer is ideal for use with high-viscosity hydrocarbons.
