Air booms are ideal for deploying from spill responses vessels, where curtain booms would be bulky and impractical to use.
Volume is reduced as flotation is via inflatable chambers from 5m to 25m.
Typically used on open water where there could be rough sea and, as a consequence, a high buoyancy to weight ratio is important to offer a better response to waves when being towed.
Inflation is achieved by manual, electrical or thermic blowers
