Don, who grew up on Mount Desert Island under the tutelage of his father Ralph Ellis and his business partner Raymond Bunker, knows first hand, the cruising challenges of the rugged Maine coast and the hull designs best suited to handle these conditions. Along with its superior sea keeping abilities the Ellis 40 has all the cabin space of the Ellis 36 Windshield Aft Express Cruiser and the deck space of the Ellis 36 Windshield Forward Express Cruiser.
