ASWTT ECA Sindel

The ECA Sindel's ASW Team Training simulator (ASWTT) offers single and multi-platform simulation, allowing tactical operations training with submarines, surface vessels and airborne units. The Sonar Simulation Engine (SSE) and the performance of the simulated scenario in terms of BT, SVP, bottom profile and so on allows training in a realistic underwater environment. The system comprises a various number of dedicated consoles that reproduce real on-board equipment. Consoles can be fitted with hardware replicas or on-screen software panels. Like all the ECA Sindel products the ASWTT uses PC based technology and COTS components, to allow an easier and cost effective maintenance.
The trainees can act as operators, tactical officers or commanders in basic, normal and advanced courses. The simulation allows to operate as a single unit or as a larger team of many different friendly units. Surface ship types simulated include destroyers, frigates and cruisers; submarines include SSN, SSBN and SSK; and airborne units include ASW fixed-wing aircraft or Multi-Purpose Aircraft, and helicopters. Sonars (HMS, VDS, TACTAS, dipping), radar (surface search/navigation, airborne), Magnetic Anomalies Detectors, Sonobuoys (DICASS, DIFAR, LOFAR, XBT) and other sensors are simulated along many weapon systems such as depth charges, torpedoes (lightweight and heavyweight), anti-submarine rockets (ASROC and VLASROC) etc. The ASWTT is fully compatible with both Mistral 4000 and Mars product lines.
