Rowing shell : competition eight skiff Dirigo USA
Hull Construction
"Coreless Technology" ~epoxy matrix~ vacuum bagged
A coreless hull (rather than honeycomb) below the waterline eliminates porosity problems common to honeycomb and is highly resistant to impact damage. Models SLX and SE further increase resistance to impact damage by combining Kevlar with the "coreless" Carbon laminate.
Hull Shape
Based on actual race results: The Dirigo hull shape has won more races worldwide than any other design. "Parallel gunwale" design provides maximum longitudinal stiffness, less water in boat and maximum hip clearance.
