VPP2 Digital Wave

United States National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) pilot chart and ship drift surface current data was used in the development of Visual Passage Planner 2 (VPP2). This data includes more than one hundred years (1850-1974) of world wide weather observations at both 1-degree and 5-degree resolution. The data includes.

* Current Roses
* Mean Wind Speeds
* % Gales
* Wave Heights
* Sea/Air Temperatures
* Dew Points
* Atmospheric Pressures
* % Light/Heavy Icing
Data for the entire world (75°N Lat. to 75°S Lat) for all 12 months is included.
Weather data can be viewed in VPP2 in many ways. The 'Weather Bar' (see the left side of the screen shots) provides continuous weather data information as you move the cursor over the screen. Various graphical Weather Overlays are also available.
