International series sailing dinghy : FINN
Devoti Sailing
- 4.5m
14' 9"ft
The Finn was first designed in 1949. Ever since the 1952 Olympics it has kept its place as an Olympic Heavyweight Dinghy class, a record hold by no other boat.
Over the years Finn has been reselected as an Olympic class no fewer than 13 times. The last 60 years have seen uncredible technical advances develop from the wooden hulled boat of the 50’s to the carbon masts and glass-carbon laminated hulls of the 2011. Finn has shown great resilience to any criticism over this time and has always come out as a winner and proudly takes its place as the world’s leading dinghy for tactical as well as technical singlehanded sailing.
