The trinquette is the essential complement of the winding génois on the sailing ships of more than 13m.

It makes it possible to have a sail really cut to sail with near in strong wind and to save the génois which can then become a sail of time medium.

One can use it is:

- On a releasable stay: simple but little practises with use.
- On a emmagasinor: practical but does not allow reduction of surface.
- On a roller, our preference starting from 13m.
