The VDL 6000 Inland AIS System is based on our well proven AIS Class A system and developed in accordance with the latest inland AIS standard requirements. The Inland system is type approved by Fachstelle der WSV für Verkehrstechniken FVT.
The data link communication covers standard AIS messages such as identity, position, destination and other required static, voyage related and dynamic data as well as blue sign messages for inland navigation for increased situational awareness and improved safety for the individual ship .
