Float for fishing nets
Castro
Following the continueing development of our industrial fishing product line, we are pleased to present what is in our opinion , the greatest innovation in trawl float technology since the launch of our "titanium" range.
This new range has been named " hydrodinamic". Due to its special hydrodinamic features which incorporate parallel rows of circular dimples which disrupt the water flow around the float during trawling. The result is significally reduced resistance when towed through the water compared to conventional smooth-surfaced floats. Apart from that, new "hydrodinamic" floats stabilize the mouth of the net because they do not vibrate as smooth-surfaced floats do.
This new range of floats will initially be available in a 200mm ( 8" ) diameter size and will be available in two maximum depth ratings : 1.700 and 2.000 mts. Both models are patented.
Alternatively, by deploying "hydrodinamic" floats, the trawling speed could be increased while consuming the same amount of fuel as when towing smooth-surfaced floats.
Castro plans to extend the range of "hydrodinamic" floats to include 280mm ( 11" ) floats
