We have developed a new concept in fold-down composite tables. By using two separate materials, the dining surface is covered whilst folded down and kept clean by a surface of jointed teak battens which can be walked on. The folded table integrates flush with the surface of the deck, a growing tendency on racer-cruisers and soon to be adopted on all sailing boats (flush hatches - foldaway fairlead - swivelling bow-pulpit ….) While manoeuvring, the cockpit remains totally clear, allowing the boat to retain its functional elegance. Alongside the quay or at anchor, access between the cabin and the stern deck is facilitated, coherent with twin wheels or the new swivelling, folding or disconnecting steering wheels.
