Besides those qualities, obtained by a careful design and engineering, the use of the best materials and construction techniques, CARITEC hydraulic jib furlers have the exclusive integrated stay tension-ram: this hydraulic continuous fine tune, conceived and improved by Cariboni since 1995, is essential when the mast has angled spreaders. The tension tuning is made without any movement of the furler body, just the stay rod moves inside the system driven by the piston during sailing. For a complete rig setting a turnbuckle system allows a mechanical adjustment independent from the hydraulic tuning. Also no hydraulic tension-ram models are available.
