Description

The Sparkman Stephens 30 cruising version is a perfect way to explore any coastline with style and elegance combined with the speed of a larger boat.

Accommodations to sleep four very comfortably, and enclosed marine head with holding tank, sink, DC powered small fridge and stove for galley prep.

The S&S 30 will out perform any boat in her size range, to windward, beam reach or downwind, she is fast and easy to handle for one person. In winds of 15 knots she can easily power on a beam reach above 8 knots or on a broad reach approach 10 knots. To windward she can sail 30 degrees and comfortably exceed 7 knots.

Best of all, she is a dry boat with comfort for crew and captain in the cockpit with or without a dodger.

Excellent storage space below with large cockpit storage in lazarettes and aft of the tiller.

As configured in the above photo she uses a furling asymmetrical spinnaker that is easily set and deployed by one person in the cockpit.

This is a head-turning design in harbos, at a dock, on a mooring or sailing past your competitors.

She is very competitively priced compared to any competing designs out performs all of them with style.

The original design was called BABE from 1935 by Olin Stephens and she won off-shore and on shore races with her long water line and narrow beam. Today, with a modern underbody, fin keel, racing rudder and modern construction materials, she has been robustly engineered and expertly built.
