Wind moving over the open grill on top creates a partial vacuum that literally sucks air out of the boat - removes 350 cu. ft. of air per hour with a breeze of only 6 mph. That's enough to completely change the air in a 30' sailboat in about an hour.
Vent-O-Mate® is also ideal for adding ventilation to heads, galleys, forepeaks to help prevent mildew damage to interior wood and cabinet work. Install over anchor locker to dry wet line and keep musty odors from below. A clear shield on top permits light to enter and the vent can be closed from the inside during chilly weather to retain cabin heat.
