Floats are independent and attached to the chassis by clamps or bolts. They are 100% foam filled making pontoons unsinka-
ble. Replacement if needed can be carried out without the need to dry-dock.
* Polyethylene floats (HDPE) are now most common due to their cost effectiveness and free maintenance.
* Aluminium floats are more suited to areas subject to strong current and floating debris.
* Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) floats provide wave-attenuation capability when it is needed.
