One must admit that those plastic "seat on top" kayaks are unbeatable to go "rock shaving" with their stable, light and watertight hull. On the other hand, they don't look good and the pleasure to be on the water sitting on a piece of plastic is not the same as it is with a nice looking wooden craft... But the fact is that the current sea kayaks are not fitted to the intimate visiting of the shoreline: too long, too "technic", too unpractical...
