Arwen is available ready to row we don't make marine kits for this model. Arwen is built with high quality marine plywood in 6 mm for the planking, and 12 mm for the transom and all other structural parts. All masive wood is sapele or similar tropical wood, except the thwarts which are pine. Before finishing, all wood parts receive 3 coats of epoxy, and the bottom (sole and galboards) is fiberglassed in and out. Furthermore, anti-skid is apllied inside the top epoxy coating. UV-protection is achieved through 6 coats of polyurethane marine varnish.
