Dragonfly Two is the alternative to its sister product Dragonfly One, very similar but with a slightly lower weight, resulting in a lower cost. Here too, four different fibres in a single construction, give rise to a new rope, created for racing boats where continuous tackling challenges the abrasion resistance of the rope. The Dyneema® core, treated with a polyurethane coating, makes this product fit for use even without the external cover, retaining the outer cover on the parts which are handled and on those which have contact with winches and stoppers. Once these parts become worn, the unused outer cover can be retained for reinforcement or substitution. The Dyneema® core has a reduced stretch and, once subjected to workload conditions, it may need slight recovery until the total settlement of the fibre and twist. Can be spliced using the correct tools and methods.
