ALN 101 - WAVE COMMANDER Alnmaritec

- 13.65m 44' 9"ft This rugged research and teaching support boat is one of the highly successful Alnmaritec Wave Commander class. She is designed specifically for marine research and teaching roles for the Marine Institute at the University of Plymouth. She has a large moon pool and a 1.5 tonne hydraulically operated A-frame with twin hydraulic 1 tonne capstans as well as a hydraulic pot hauler, providing a versatile deck arrangement which allows her to deploy an ROV, carry out trawling operations or recover equipment from the sea bed. Internally she has a wet laboratory and a large dry laboratory and teaching area in her comfortable deck house together with a WC/shower compartment and a single berth cabin below decks. The forward wheelhouse provides excellent all round views and a comfortable control station for helmsman and crew and she is fitted with a comprehensive array of navigation and communications equipment as befits her offshore role.
