Kenai Fjords Tours has contracted with All American Marine, Inc. to build an 82’ 8” x 29.2’ Teknicraft Catamaran for glacier and wildlife tours in Alaska. Kenai Fjord Tours is based in Seward, Alaska (approximately 125 miles south of Anchorage) and operates primarily during the summer season. Kenai Fjords Tours is the original tour operator in the Kenai Fjords National Park and has been operating tours since 1974. The new custom sightseeing catamaran will carry 150 passengers and 4 crew members on different scheduled itineraries throughout the national park. Kenai Fjord Tours maintains the newest fleet of custom sightseeing vessels and they are looking forward to the comfort, style, and fuel efficiency offered by the Teknicraft Design vessel. Cruising at approximately 25 knots will allow the new vessel to travel further, thus enhancing sightseeing opportunities. The catamaran design will feature plenty of comfortable seating in a heated cabin with large viewing windows and two walk-around viewing decks. The vessel will provide passengers with a very smooth ride and accommodates passengers with limited mobility. The new vessel will be delivered and ready to cruise for the 2007 season.
