Tactique is a program totally dedicated to racing, designed right from the start to meet the needs of races "near the coast": windward-leeward loops and coastal courses.
Tactique has been designed with the following in mind:
during a race, the program simply requires the markers to be indicated before the start, which is very simple to do;
the information proposed evolves with the situation: the start, beating, running, windward-leeward loop, coastal course;
most of the information is presented simultaneously on the screen because, as it is selected for the situation, there is not too much of it;
each window (toolbar, cartography, navigational information, route plan of the course) has its own place on the screen;
the program offers all the information necessary for taking the best decision: time and distance for getting to the key points of the course (start line, end of the line, laylines, markers etc.), comparison of the performance of the boat with its potential, anticipation of the next beats or runs, etc;
this information is calculated using all the parameters necessary: the boat's speed potential, best angles upwind and downwind, anticipation of current changes, etc.
