The MISSION™ XC consists of an effective, compact convection section built up as concentric bare tube coils connected to the inlet and outlet headers with integrated inlet and outlet boxes. The robust construction is designed to withstand gas pulsations. Cleaning of tubes is accomplished by sootblowing during service or, for use in ports, water washing either through the inspection door in the uptake or by means of an integrated water washing device.
In connection with a thorough revision/standardization of Aalborg Industries' marine boiler product range, the exhaust gas economizer previously referred to as AV-9 has been renamed to MISSION™ XC. The abbreviation refers to eXhaust gas Coil tube boiler.
