Sanding belt for spot weld and hem flange removal Aluminum oxide minerals deliver a fast cut rate Abrasive belt made for increased durability and long-lasting service Resin bonded for heat resistance Compatible for use with quality file belt sanders 3M™ Green Corps™ Sanding Abrasive File Belt removes spot weld and hem flanges as well as grinds in tight areas for fast and efficient removal of paint, corrosion and rust. Aluminum oxide abrasive delivers a fast cut and long life. 3M™ Green Corps™ Sanding Abrasive File Belt strips away paint, rust and welds in hard-to-reach locations on automotive bodies. We chose aluminum oxide abrasive because it works quickly in stripping away paint down to bare metal, plastic or fiberglass, giving automotive paint technicians a clean surface for restoration work. This automotive paint stripping belt works with 3M™ File Belt Sander 28366 and other belt tools. These file belts can quickly remove stock in tight areas while allowing technicians increased control over other methods of structural disassembly. A grinding aid allows for cooler grinding, which reduces heat on the surface of metal substrates to preserve structural integrity. Aluminum oxide is a popular abrasive among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives quickly wear down with use. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, it is widely used in grinding applications. The abrasive has been resin bonded for heat resistance.
