The Spirit of Lahaina, a displaning-type catamaran, was designed for the owner, Club Lanai (Maui, HI). She was designed to act as a cruise ship tender, dinner vessel and snorkel boat. The vessel hull was designed with a whale tail underbody that allowed the propeller to be tucked up into her hull to allow less draft and flatter shaftline. The vessel structure was designed to ABS high speed rules.
Schuller and Allan (Houston, TX) prepared and submitted all necessary construction drawings and calculations required by the USCG for small passenger vessels less than 100 gross tons. The hull and all internals were 3-D modeled and extracted for lofting.
The operations officer of Club Lanai, Mr. Mike Hall expressed his appreciation: "The vessel exceeded our requirements, she is a good machine. [Geo Shipyard] performed an exceptional build on this project and it went smoothly from start to finish."

The passenger and conference ship for the "Stern und Kreisschiffahrt GmbH" is designed for operation on waterways within the city of Berlin. Its main particulars of approx. 44 m length, breadth of 7 m and a draught of only 1 m are the maximum possible dimen-sions to operate the vessel on the "Landwehrkanal"
Up to 172 passengers can be accommodated on board, special care was taken for handicapped guests. The ship is air-conditioned and allows an all year service.
A special feature are the sliding side- and ceiling elements made of framend glass. During good weather conditions they can be opened electrically and make the ship to an "open air restaurant" on Berlin waters. The furniture of the ship is appropriate for variable employ-ment as for conferences, meetings or day tours. A special buffet and bar area is available. Modern conference and audio equipment is installed. The steering house is located aftship on a heighten deck, where all equipment for technical operation, steering and control is arranged. The upper part can be lowered down hydraulically to allow passing of low bridges.
For safe navigation on urban waterways the ship is fitted with a special river radar and an echosounder for shallow water. Furthermore a bow thruster improves manoeuvrability on narrow channels.
