Two freestyle boards that will generate a lot of gossip both at lake and sea spots. The result of Drops efforts are boards with improved planing, manoeuvrability and comfort without giving into control in all conditions including rough seas. The board is extremely easy to control during aerial manoeuvres, and therefore makes teaming new tricks a lot simpler; slashed manoeuvres can be performed extremely rapidly, making it possible to perform extremely complicated tricks even at relatively low speeds.

How can any shape combine the extreme needs of Fanatic´s 2006 PWA Freestyle World Champion Gollito Estredo, with a rider looking to improve his basic freestyle skills? A task really only possible with the best CAD data base and especially of course loads of experience by our shaper Sebastian Wenzel and his R&D team.
Our Skate freestyle boards are not just team rider boards for an extreme discipline, in fact they are some of our most loved and sold boards in the line. Whether in use at El Yaque by Gollito inventing new moves on a daily basis, or just a stoked rider learning his first basic freestyle move like a duck jibe – the Skates offer the ultimate combination of manoeuvrability, early planing and acceleration. The early planing performance of the Skates has improved again, with a slightly straighter rocker in the tail, as well as a little extra volume in that area. This helps to get the Skate on the plane with the lightest gust and gives additional security for the latest freestyle tricks.
Both sizes have become narrower and also smaller –this was part of the design briefing to keep the Skates as fun as possible to use, without feeling “too wide”. A clean powerful V-Bottom design secures early planing, speed, sliding and pop. Working with freestyle world champion Gollito is a big part of the Skate´s enormous success, his innovative style of sailing has lead to innovative shapes. |

The board features a new-style short, but not wider, shape with amazing performance in full-on frontsidee conditions. This board loves big bottom turns on epic sideshore days just as much as tight top turns, which is why it's also perfectly suited for smaller waves, on-shore conditions or strong winds from any direction.
The 2008 Custom features aggressive footstrap inserts that alow you to stand closer to the center of the board, helping you to drive your bottom turns more secure and tight with the board responding to your every whim.
It's easy to set the rail and reap the rewards. Its carving factors are unrivaled, and its centerered volume distribution, balanced outlines and inserts positions make it an ease to glide and flow finless. The 68 and 75 iter models feel weightless and powerful under your feet when winds get strong. They supply full control in overpowered conditions. The 81 and 90 are Ideal for medium to light-wind conditions, and they are also great for the heavier rider who is looking for a hardcore wave board to ride in strong winds.
We are using Carbon, Biaxial Glass and Double Sandwich layup to build these boards and it allows us to add great strength and still maintain that light and crisp custom feel
We recommend this board for intermediate to advanced sailors. |

FREE STYLE WITH FLAIR
The Flares are the fast-freestyle boards designed by our riders for our riders. Taty Frans, Kiri Thode, Frank Diaz and Sara Quita Offringa developed the range around the idea of mixing speed and freestyle for an explosive combination. Instant power, pin point control and aerial balance lets you fire up any trick with more speed, more style and more smiles.
What's new?
The Flare 99 and 111 have a new wider, fatter tail design that pops you up on the plane, switching on acceleration and power at will. These new shapes will give you more tolerance and more float for longer slides and faster tail rides. There's also a new constant-curve rocker that boosts aerial pop and improves maneuverability. The trademark heel gutters first introduced back in 2005 continue in 2008, increasing deck-dome to provide impeccable comfort and grip.
The Flare 60, 72 and 88 continue unchanged for 2008 with their slalom rockerline and slalom vee: these are the team's weapon of choice for high wind conditions or lighter riders.
Summary:
Super-fast freestyle boards
Wider and fatter tail shapes in the 99 and 111 model
New constant-curve rocker in the 99 and 111 model |

A strong demand for the boards keeps us pushing the limits.
With the input from our team, the Freestyle boards have taken on a few changes. We increased the thickness in our most popular 100 liter board.
We beefed up the rails as well as added more thickness to the tail to give you more POP for your tricks-so you will find earlier planing and more stability for the new moves.
The 110 stays the same and keeps the big guys stoked. The 80 liter board has the small guys spinning like crazy and so this year, we added a new baby to the fleet- a 90 liter brother that fills in the gap for any freestyler out there.
