Easy Speed and Luxurios Control
Side-by-side testing with the elite Falcon line means the Rays are the quickest Freerace boards we’ve ever made. Going fast’s more popular than ever. But we understand not everyone’s got the skills to ride elite-level performance Slalom shapes. So to keep your bones from shaking, our CAD database sculpted 4 models giving you all the benefits of the Falcon’s blistering rocker line, plus a Power-V to cushion the ride. For 2010, narrower tail and center widths match rounder rails for a joyous jibing sensation. Built in a Carbon Sandwich Light finish construction, the Ray is a total Slalom board solution.
High speed and luxury. What more could you ask for?
A fresh new board concept demanded an outstanding fin. Choco fins became the perfect partner with a lethal G10 CNC foiled design. This beautifully balanced mix of lift, drive and control is a match made in heaven for such a graceful creature of the sea.
Key Developments:
- Fast Slalom rocker and straight power tail – developed over years with our PWA International Race team
- Slim speed outline
- Power-V
- Deep double concave entry bottom
- Comfort domed deck
- Carving rails
- Equal volume distribution

The MOVE boards have the broadest range of use in the HiFly range. Their real strengths are versatility and control. With the 31 cm freemove fin, the 95 turns into a small free move board, planes really early and reaches top speeds. Using the small fin, the MOVE 95 turns into a large wave board. Smaller to midsize waves can be ridden effortlessly, and thanks to the double-sandwich this board can handle high jumps easily as well.
The MOVE 108 also comes with two fins. The 34 cm freeride fin supplies the MOVE with plenty of power. Early planing combined with a high top-end speed brings you pure freeride fun!

Naked boards ate high performance freerlde boards, fast, easy and extremely manouevrable, and as such absolutely suitable for SUPER X racing. A new generation of freerldes: wider and shorter, that reach very high top end speeds and that, specially the two smaller models, can be used for freestyle manoeuvres. These boards are extremely easy even In severe chop and with small sails. They are equipped with a relatively short powerbox freerlde fin in order to achieve the best compromise between speed and manoeuvrability, but If used with a Freerace fin becomes extremely fast and capable of incredible upwind performance.

A new board for whoever weighs less than 60 kg, resulting from the combination of over 20 years experience in the design of 'adult' boards and ergonomic studies to make them 'fit' kids. This board will enable kids to pick up funboard technique extremely rapidly, combining their natural learning capacity with the use of purposely designed and developed equipment. This result comes from carefully positioning footstrap Inserts and the mast track, as well as a suitable choice of shape and fin.

The Futuras: the pure freeride boards that combine stability and ease of use with the widest wind range and the highest top end performance in its group. Blurring the lines between free-slalom boards and freeride boards, the Futuras are also, astonishingly, the most easy freeride boards in their group. This thanks to extra width and their ability to automatically deliver peak performance across a wide sweet spot.
Starboard Futuras were recently introduced in the World's leading windsurfing centre. Starboard started the season with 30% of customer's bookings while the other 70% booked established offerings. By the end of the season, the bookings changed to 70%, even up to 90% for Starboard. The Futuras' impossible combination of maximum performance with the easiest and most stable shape made it the simple choice.
Impossible engineering made possible: the Starboard Futura.

The GO: the original progressive freeride board that offers stability, comfort and volume with a blend of high performance, speed and fun for the progressing rider. This simple formula, born out of the widestyle revolution that Starboard pioneered in 1998, places the GO as the board that marked the beginning of modern windsurfing design: no other board before it provided such ease of use, stability and performance for the average windsurfer.
In 2010, the Go boards share the same original formula and the same features that have made it so successful over a decade ago: a full EVA deck for comfort, multiple insert positions for beginners, intermediates and experts and carry handles in wider boards for convenient handling.

Starboard introduces the Atom 99, the hyper-maneuverable freeride board. The freerider designed with a single purpose: to bring the freedom of style to freeriding.
Ride it strapless for total freedom of expression, to carve heel side and toe side jibes and ride switch stance. Or ride it straps-on for conventional control.
Ultra slim, with a fast rocker line and integrating Starboard's power steering spiraling vee concept, the Atom 99 turns, carves and reacts like no other freerider. It's no longer about top speed and maxed-out power. Only freedom counts.
Forget points, forget test scores; forget conventions and freeriding as you know it.

The Kode Tufskin is a dual purpose board: a freeride board for adults and an entry level, progressive board for kids. What makes the shape work for both purposes is the extra wide width for its compact volume. With its special features, this shape can then be adapted for either type of rider, making it the perfect board to be shared by all.

2009 FXR line is a compact and stable design that gets planning on the lightest breeze and flies effortlessly through the wind lulls. The tuned rockers keep the board gliding with a reduced wetted surface area. On the jibes the more compact design helps the FXR turn with ease, and finish the transitions with speed. In a straight line, the boards are extremely fast.
With the footstraps settled to the inner position, the FXR maneuvers and transitions easily. In this position, the straps are also in the ideal configuration for first time footstraps users, making getting in the straps easy and fun. With the “further out into the rail” footstraps position the more advanced rider can trim the windward rail high with more control, maximizing rail and fin lift, and increasing speed even more.
The board construction focuses on light weight and strength. The sanded finish minimizes paint weight, and biaxial glass provides great strength and dent resistance.

For 2010 the Syncro line has been shaped a bit smoother, it has a very nice shape/deck flow and with slightly wider nose and fuller rails the board really performs great. It has a similar rocker line to the 2009 version but still has all the do it all performance that the Syncro line stands for. Freestyle, full control in the jibe, fast for better jumping and with a rocker that is flat enough to handle any chop you will have to deal with.
The board can be set up with both 3-foot straps and an outboard 4-foot straps setting.
The 3-foot strap setting is for more maneuverability and makes it a better board for jumping and moving around on the water.
The 4-foot strap setting makes it easier to have full pressure on the rail to make it a faster board. The choice is yours.

The Freewide combines an easygoing, stable ride with effortless planing, making it the ultimate light wind machine for riders of all levels. This early planing shape features decreased rail volume to let the board glide smoothly through the lulls. Tail wingers and cut outs provide maximum control even in windy conditions. The reduced tail area behind the footstraps combined with a slight tail kick rockerline makes the Freewide jibe with little effort like a much smaller board. For light wind areas, the early planing Naish Freewide is the difference between a great day on the water and wishing you stayed home.

Designed for easy fteeride sailing and jibing, the Global Freeride combines a slalom oriented rocker line with a maneuver-friendly (rounder) outline. The Global Freeride is the optimum choice for riders who want the best of both worlds in terms of jibing and speed, as well as sail size compatibility.
