Falcon Speed: Flight control at speeds of more than 40 knots!
Built for one use only…... SPEED! The smooth, frictionless rocker line and moderate width create the best combination for maximum speed in all water conditions. At 48cm wide and 242cm long, the Falcon Speed has superb control in choppy water and easily carries a very wide variety of sail sizes. The CAD designed scoop-rocker line allows a lower trim over the water, ensuring great control and easy gibing, at the highest speeds.
The mono-concave tail section has a slight tail rocker for a very free ride at all times. More tail volume gives power and drive, whilst the front section is a little thinner, for control in rough conditions. A perfect feeling of “firm footing” and ultimate confidence, essential when pushing your limits at high speeds.

MADD 125
The MADD 125 is quite similar in shape to the very well-received MADD 138. Early planing and maximum control are the basic requirements in this class. Comfortable sailing and smooth easy jibing top it off. The Hifly MADD 125 excites with its broad range of use and fascinates with its versatility. A large footpad and comfortable DaKine footstraps further add to the riding comfort.
MADD 138 & 162
The large MADD boards are the absolute leaders in early-planing performance in the HiFly range. Despite relatively small fins, very large sails can be used. Spinning out is just about impossible, because the short fins together have a fairly large surface and can handle the pressure of the sail. You are always in control, even in very gusty wind conditions. The boards really go upwind well and are very fast.

The new, performance-oriented shape of the Free 118 lets you enjoy windsurfing on a higher level! The 118 and two different carbon freeride fin combinations really deliver. Even at extreme upwind or downwind angles and top speed the HiFly Free is easy to control because the fins respond perfectly and the board does not act up. This makes sailing easy on your body and ensures great comfort in a variety of conditions!
The very balanced shape of the new Free 132 will make every day on the water a fun one. High performance and very fast yet comfortable and easy to control. The 132 is equipped with two sizes of carbon freeride fins that are perfectly balanced with the board to maintain control even at extremes. This allows for maximum speed rushes while minimizing strain on the legs. Two different fins dramatically broaden the 132’s range of use.
The Free 145 has already been tested by Germany’s critical “Surf” magazine. Here is an excerpt of their findings: “…the board offers the highest riding-performance, a fiery acceleration and a very well-balanced planning performance, with a free and lively feel, much like a small slalom racer, but easily controllable.”

|
The HiFly MADD 90 belongs to the freestyle/ wave boards. The two 18 cm TWINSER-fins support racy turns in the waves and in flat water – all the while providing a great measure of stability and control. The small fins make for enormous maneuverability and can handle a lot of pressure.
The MADD 115 has a huge range of uses – much like the MOVE boards. The 115 is so versatile that not only speeders will enjoy this board. The foot straps are placed closer to the center, providing for a comfortable and relaxed stance when speeding; on the other hand also support a more maneuver-oriented style. Race jibes, carving 360 and other fun moves come easy. A large pad and performance foot straps provide comfort.

In 2005, when the Serenity concept was first revealed to the World by Windsurfing magazine USA, development work by windsurfing brands and media exposure on light wind windsurfing and longboards no longer existed. The industry had only just started to get the hang of wide-style boards, those new designs that have helped windsurfers the World over to plane in less wind. Planing windsurfing was all there was for windsurfers to read about, talk about, preach and practice.
"The Serenity aims at ultra-light winds and cruising, and puts a modern spin on the simple elegance that helped windsurfing boom decades ago. It doesn't require a jumbo sail. It doesn't require pro-level skills to enjoy. Best of all, it doesn't require real wind for an exhilarating ride. Simply hop on, sheet in and go. In this regard, the Serenity succeeds, and succeeds in a big way. In terms of growing the sport, putting more sails on waterways everywhere, and offering everyone a form of windsurfing that's all the time and all fun, the Serenity provides a valuable wake up call." Eddy Patricelli, editor of WindSurfing magazine
Serenity set the course for the next chapter. Its concept of an uncompromised, lightwind-only hull shape measuring 460cm desgined for the modern age of windsurfing created shockwaves through the industry. It paved the way for longboards to make their return and ever since then, lightwind windsurfing gradually grew and grew.

A direct development of our Seal Concept, the SeaLion shape has been compacted within only 232cm of length, a 74cm width, and an 8,5kgs weight.
This is a board you can travel with and store very easily.
Its 135 litres volume is progressively spread on a balanced and very compact outline; this will guarantee that the board remains stable when stopped, allowing riders up to 100kg to stay standing-up on the board.
Its continuous V-bottom sports slight concaves along the full length, in order to maximise glide in lower wind-forces.
Its tail, with an over-50cm One-foot-Off, is fitted with pretty much outboard twin fins (2 x 18cm); which will get you on the plane from 2 Beaufort and maximise your back-foot turning power.
Its rails are significantly rounded and soft forward.

Drops pursues the slalom project with boards that are extremely last in both light and strong winds. The hull Is a double concave with flat areas at the sides that turns Into a very light V towards the stern, the rails are curved In order to Improve control during straight-line sailing and more docile whilst gybeing, enabling the rider to concentrate only on going as tast as possible.
At the same time the wide tall and sharp rails for the last 80 cm give incredible upwind performance and speed even In lulls. The boards have an extremely technical appearance, the pads absorb the stresses due to the rigid full carbon sandwich construction which Is vital to achieve the maximum speed.

The Maximum Efficiency concept is the key. Massive wind range, massive user range, maximum top end speed, maximum average speed, unbeatable overtaking ability and the quickest acceleration out of jibes: these are the criteria to achieve maximum efficiency. How to achieve it?
The largest R&D team with a wide variety of body weights: the iSonics 2010 were developed by Tiesda You, Svein Rasmussen, Remi Vila, Sven Akerboom, Kevin Pritchard, Cyril Moussilmani, Jimmy Diaz and Jim Drake. From 60kg to 95kg, from PWA Champions to your average freerider, no iSonic prototypes are validated unless all eight designers approve. They need to be the best for the best, and the best for the rest.
The technical advantage: with Tiesda and Jim's engineering background that covers various aspects of mechanics, fluid dynamics and material science, Starboard can blend theoretical knowledge with feedback from on-the-water testing that gives a blend that no other brand can match. The famous low-nose concept, the wide-tail design, the high-aspect ratio planing surfaces and the extra thin shapes have all come from theoretical analysis. Today, these have become benchmark features in modern slalom design.

The new Techno Pro range makes an ideal quiver for riding with top quality equipment in all kinds of conditions. Made from Epoxy Sandwich, the Techno Pro slalom boards are Marco Copello signature boards, while Pierre Bracard's name is on the wave and wave slalom boards. To create a full quiver, we chose a range of boards that each has a program particularly suited to the various wind and sea conditions that you can encounter. In light to moderate winds riders want to get up to planing fast and have great forward speed : the Techno Pro 80, 74 and 64 are pure race and slalom designs. As the wind gets up and the waves start to swell, the Techno Pro 65 and 57 come into play with their wave slalom shapes that are both fast and highly manoeuvrable. For strong, sustained winds and waves the Techno Pro 54 is the best suited in the range ! It's over to you to choose the board according to your weight and to the water conditions!

Slalom 78 / 95 is a full blooded Slalom board, While designing this board I tried to make sure that the board was fast yet easy to control. Speed will come from control so with the soft rails and a fairly parallel outline the board really handles all you can give.
Thanks to the tuck around the front foot the board jibes like it is on rails and will deal with chop like no other. I also added a small tall kick to make sure that the board can always accelerate and will help from sticking the nose on the down wind runs. This really helps if you want to overtake below somebody as the board will not tail walk with the increased board speed.
There is a lot of effort going into making this board easy to ride, Thanks to the foot strap position on the board in relation to the fin placing you will not get overloaded on the back foot and the board rides with pretty even pressure on both back and front foot.

|
Slalom 110/124/140 while designing this board I tried to make sure that the board was fast yet easy to control. Speed will come from control so with the soft rails, fairly parallel outline the board really handles all you can give.
Thanks to the tuck around the front foot the board jibes like it is on rails and will deal with chop like no other. The difference from the 2 smaller boards the 67/75 and 85 has no tail kick. I use the V to get the board out of the water and onto its tail. I have small cut outs to make the board have less flat on the rails and less wetted surface.
The board also has a bigger one foot off that makes you have more leverage on the fin. This will make it easier to deal with bigger fin sizes and still have good top speed even if you ride with a fin that can get you back up wind when you feel the need. It really helps if you have a bad start and needs to climb upand over somebody's wake.

It is no longer necessary for us to demonstrate the characteristic 'accessible to all' of our slalom shapes. Our last Tracers had proven that anyone can dominate on the spot.
With all our past experience, this year we have re worked our scoops, our hulls and have redrawn our outlines.
We have improved our shapes taking in consideration what we learnt from: our world wide dominance in the elite windsurf competitions and from the last years where we focused on giving you the possibilities to reach this high level performance.
The new SL 1 Concepts are aimed to reach the ultimate performance.
The perfect glide and the absolute reactivity have been optimised by a complete development on every tiniest surface of the board.
We have worked on the front part of the deck; 'two deck steps' strengthen the structure, guaranteeing an immediate reactivity of the shape during planning and when touching the water. The transfer of the applied forces is immediate towards the performance.
The strap positions have been decentred on a more comfortable deck to optimise the speed.
Cut outs disappear from the hull to the profit of a clear bottom shape without infringing the flow of the water.
The value of the V has been redefined. Under the front foot the V is at its maximum and it is nearer to zero at the back of the board, guaranteeing stability and high speed.
The tests on the water have been filmed and the results talk for themselves: the shapes accelerate on the water without the slightest interference. The transfer of the applied forces on the front of the hull to the tail is optimised, as to win in acceleration and speed. Stability is perfect allowing endless accelerations.
