The Smartswitch BC-8000 Controller provides an intelligent networked solution for the monitoring and control of up to eight bilge areas. When any bilge area runs for more than one minute an alarm sounds. If the high float detects water the alarm will sound. You can controll the pump by switch the system into manual mode. The system is happy with pumps up to 40 AMPS. Want to know how many times the bilge area pupm was activated? Easy with the BC-8000 from Smartswitch
The system consists of the BC-8000 display controller (as seen above) up to eight BC-100 or BC-100/P controllers and one (optional) RB-800 repeater displays. The system communicates via a 2-wire network cable with a maximum cable length of 1000 meters

The BILGEWATCH 8 is a Microprocessor based, Panel Mount Instrument that will Monitor and Record the Activity of up to EIGHT Bilge Pumps.
"Four out of five boats that sink, do so at their moorings!..."
Faulty seals, corrosion, cracked or broken fittings and perished hoses are often to blame. Increased bilge pump activity is a sure sign of a developing fault, but automatic bilge pumps can hide the problem, operating while the boat is unattended. By monitoring and recording the activity of all the boats bilge pumps, the BILGEWATCH 8 can provide advance warning of problems, before they become emergencies.

Take good care of the cooling system – change to a new impeller every year!
The impeller is a very important security device. Its task is to pump the water through the cooling system of the engine. But remember that the impeller should be replaced every year. And always make sure you get a Johnson Pump Brand original impeller. Then you’ll know that it matches your pump exactly.
Remove the impeller with a slip joint plier or an Impuller.

Impeller removal has been made easier with the patented Sherwood Impeller Puller. Simply thread the puller into the threaded end of select Sherwood impellers and the bolt presses on the shaft, pushing the impeller out of the pump.
Sherwood's Impeller Puller is utilized on five different impeller sizes. Impeller puller 23631 is used on the 17000, 18000, 22000, and 27000 impellers. Impeller puller 24412 is used on the 27000 impeller.
