TRAC Integrated Hydraulic Systems are used to support TRAC Thrusters, TRAC Marine Stabilizers and ride control products as well as third party hydraulic devices such as capstans, windlasses, cranes, generators, bilge pumps etc. Arcturus Marine, manufacturer of TRAC products, evaluates each boat application individually and configures the integrated hydraulic system to meet the specific needs of your yacht.
ABT.TRAC typically uses quiet, high efficiency hydraulic piston pumps.
TRAC hydraulic pumps are driven from the front of main engines or generators or from specialized PTO's (power take-offs) that have become more widely available on main engines, the marine gear, or generator.

The pumps (in STAINLESS STEEL too) are based on the geometry and properties of the cycloid. In fact, they are lobe pumps (or internal gear pumps). All of the main components are made of sintered materials. In the development of these two types of technology, we have given an emphasis to high performance in terms of capacity and pressure in proportion to the pump size (owing to the reduction in unused volume), as well as to duration and lower noise level (owing to the porosity offered by the powder metallurgy).
Self-lubrication is another important property intrinsic to every model of this product, and it is a guarantee against buckling.

The Navtec Rotary Pump is designed to be used in conjunction with leading winch manufacturer's grinding systems to provide faster movements of cylinders.

No more unprotected hydraulic hoses on the stern. By running the hydraulic hoses through the cylinders we have reduced the risk of hose damage, and there are two less holes to make through the stern bulkhead. In addition, installation is much simpler. Also new is the incorporation of a trim indicator in each cylinder, and this is supplied as standard.
The cylinder kit with built-in indicator will give you full control of the boat's attitude in the water. More powerful cylinders mean that only one per trim tab is required for boats up to 40 feet.
The cables from the indicators are run to a connector box and then to the indicator instrument. There is only one cable from the connector box, which makes connection easier.

To control cylinders and boom vangs with one central pump, Holmatro offers conveniently arranged and easy-to-use control panels for up to four cylinder functions. A push-button control panel with a remote, extremely compact electric hydraulic pump is also available.

The System VIII panel incorporates new Cam Valve technology, developed by Navtec. Cam valves make the System VIII easier to use and more durable at higher presures than competitive systems. This is why the new System VIII panel is an ideal choice for Grand Prix and Super Yachts, which demand the highest level of performance available.

TRIM TABS SYSTEM
Among all the different equipments fitted on board, the trim tab system has a very important role, as it contributes to the boat's stability. It is therefore important to chose the most suitable system, a choice for which some important factors are the type of vessel, its weight and the max. speed. The range of BCS trim tab systems can be divided into two main groups, whose main difference is the type of the tab: it can be both in stainless steel or aluminium alloy. The stainless steel series is normally installed on pleasure yachts that are not very fast

HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS
Our steering cylinders are in bronze and steel with stainless steel rod. The ball joint is in steel as well. The cylinder's dody is properly painted to work in a marine environment and can be in different colours on specific request. Each cylinder is supplied with brass fittings in different sizes. ACCESSORIES In the BCS products range there is a wide choice of hydraulic steering accessories, too, such as non return valves, by-passes, relief valves, steering wheels, hosing and fittings of any type and seize. Some of our standard models are shown here below. For any further reference about a great number of special configurations for the most various applications our Technical Department can supply any detail about seizes and technical data.

216FM “Front Mount” Cylinder
The HyDrive Model 216FM cylinder is designed to fit all brands of V4 and V6 Outboards*. It offers the advantage of rigid mounting directly in front of the motor. While it does require more well-space than the “Bullhorn” type cylinder, the hydraulic hoses remain stationary.
The marine brass cylinder is nickel coated and has special non-conductive and wear resistant rod-guides, offering maximum protection against electrolysis and other damage. It is capable of handling single or twin V4 and V6 outboards without torque feedback (single motors to 235HP or twin up to a total of 400HP- counter rotating). Combined with the Admiral series 101 helm, it offers the ultimate in boat handling for you and your family.

|
210BH “Bullhorn” Cylinder
There are several different ways to steer outboard motors. You need to consider the room available and the design of the boat’s engine well. The most popular of our outboard steering cylinders is our Model 210BH Bullhorn unit. This is the most powerful and durable cylinder of its type on the market. It is capable of handling single or multiple engine installations up to 1200HP combined*
What sets these HyDrive cylinders apart from the competition is the materials used to build them. While other brands use anodised or painted aluminum alloy cylinders, HyDrive uses only chromed brass, bronze and stainless steel - built for the toughest marine environment.
The 210BH cylinder mounts very simply to the tilt-tube of the outboard motor and fits neatly under the front of the motor cowling. It is compact in design and requires only a small amount of clearance (615mm). It requires considerably less space than some competitors “front mount” design cylinders.
|
|
|
Introducing the HyDrive Model 212T Sport cylinder which offers the power and reliability of hydraulic steering at prices which are more than competitive with many mechanical systems. This compact tube-mount cylinder is capable of handling up to twin 150HP engines (counter-rotating) or a single 235HP with comfort. It attaches directly to the outboard motor's tilt-tube just like the old push-pull cable steering! It also attaches to Stern-Drives in the same manner, and can be used on Sterndrive Power steering cylinders making dual stations very simple.
|
|
|
A very popular cylinder type for outboards is the HyDrive tube-mount or side-mount 210T (balanced) and 210TSE (unbalanced). It can handle the same horsepower as the powerful 210BH Bullhorn cylinder, but it is simpler and cheaper to install. The only restriction to fitting them is the side-clearance requirements in the engine well. Made of chromed brass, bronze and stainless steel, there are two versions available, - the 210T which is a balanced cylinder, and the unbalanced 210TSE which has slightly higher turns one way than the other. It's advantage is that it requires less clearance for installation. They can also be fitted directly to splashwell brackets to replace any cable steering. It's really that simple.

Ergonomics meets economics. The new Series 8 Integral Backstay Adjuster incorporates several key design improvements. The pressure gauge is positioned prominently, enabling fast, accurate reading of tension values. A longer pump handle produces faster pumping motion and more tension per stroke, which delivers greater performance out of modern masts. The feed tube is seated into the contour of the cylinder, resulting in a more secure design and integrated look. And its cost has remained highly competitive. In testing, the Navtec Series 8 Integral enabled sailors to increase rigging tension quickly, precisely, and easily. With each stroke of the handle, rake increased along with forestay tension, resulting in improved roller furling gear performance, sail shape, windward performance, and speed. Use of the specifically designed Integral toggle is strongly recommended.
