Solimar produces more than 20 models of pedestal suitable for single and double steering systems “station”. For example, about double station steering systems, we produce the pedestal Mod. 609 (available made of fibreglass or carbon fibre). This kind of pedestal is available in 10 different versions with locking bolts or to laminate directly to the deck. The pedestals can be completed with stainless steel guardrail tube (Art. 019). On some pedestal guards you can install the compass, the fibreglass housing for the assembly of electronic instruments (Art. 055), the box for the engine control (Art. 032) or the bracket (Art. 035) for the folding table (Art.037). We have more than 30 pedestal guards and in some pedestals the tube is integrated and mounted on the console. All our pedestals can be fitted with frontal brake/clutch locking system of the steering wheel. We still produce the classic aluminium pedestal, (round base, connecting tube mm100 -mod. 502- or connecting tube diameter mm. 120 -mod. Dolphin- and compass head 5” or 6”).

The pedestal is completely made of high strength aluminium 6082. This build method results in a relatively low weight (7.5 Kgs) and a very strong and stiff construction.
