The Sentinel Expedition is the next generation of rebreather. It’s packed with new features, but is built on the well established World-class Sentinel Rebreather. The Expedition offers a new level of functionality for the serious diver and explorer.
An integral CO2 monitoring system displaying CO2 levels in millibar on the Primary display and providing warning alarms at 5 and 10mb. The life of the sensor is several years (dependant on use) and it is simply periodically calibrated in ambient air. An integral filter system is user changeable and spare filters are supplied with the system. Existing Sentinel users can have their unit upgraded and dependant on the age of the Sentinel various price options exist.
VGM incorporates a user changeable algorithm with ‘defaults’ which mimic common algorithms in use today and allow the user to further customize the system. VGM is the first algorithm capable of a multi-model approach tracking deep-water, mid-range and shallow decompression issues.
The off-board gas connection kit comprises two high quality Swagelok female connector4s fitted to the gas blocks and two LP whips with male connectors for fitting to the off-board regulator first stages. The Sentinel off-board kit is the first to allow external gas to be routed both through the manual gas addition system and via the automation (solenoid/ADV).
Ballistic nylon breathing hoses covers are supplied to provide additional to the breathing hoses.
The Intelligent Secondary (Isec) Display removes the calibration potentiometers from the electronics head and allows the backup PO2 system to be calibrated from the Isec screen. This provides additional isolation for the backup PO2 system. In addition there is an option available to add a decompression algorithm (VGM) to the Isec so that it works as a backup dive computer.
The 5mm backplate is designed to evenly distribute weight when drysuit diving.
The software pack for the Expedition comes with additional software features such as VGM, alarm cancelling and an alternative dive display.
The PC data download comes standard with the Expedition.

Halcyon%u2019s extremely intuitive and reliable, patented RB80%u2122 operating system eliminates distractions and reduces failures that can mean the difference between a mission%u2019s success or failure. The Halcyon rebreather supplies breathing gas as required by the diver%u2019s respiratory rate, providing less oxygen variation and better predictability. Gas replenishment is mechanically triggered by the diver%u2019s breathing cycle so that a compromise in supply is obvious and immediate. This mechanical system is less prone to failure and easier to operate as compared to complex, electronically controlled rebreathers.

No other rebreather is smaller, lighter and more user friendly then the Discovery MkVI.
But then again, no one has ever built a rebreather aimed at the recreational divers. It only weighs 18 kilos (39,6 lbs) fully gassed up and ready to dive and that is less than what many dive tanks weigh.
With out the tanks and the canister, the Discovery MkVI only weights 8 kilos (17,6 lbs) and that makes it very suitable for traveling.
The Discovery is fully automatedand the computers takes care of everything but the dive experience... we leave that up to you!
Delivered in a large Peli case.
