Easy-Open Ball Bearing Cams
Multiple rows of high-load ball bearings reduce friction so cams open easily for snap-down, rather than draw-through cleating.
The cam horns and smooth V-shape guide line for easy entry. This allows precise sail control without having to readjust the cleated line.
The Teflon® surface of the aluminum Cam-Matic® improves the cleat’s fast line engagement. The Cam-Matic® is the only cleat that will engage under maximum line tension.
Protective Tooth Design
Rounded teeth hold securely by squeezing rather than cutting into line to reduce wear.
High-Wear or Lightweight Models
Aluminum Cam-Matics® are Hardkote-anodized for high-load, high-wear, continuous adjustment applications. Available in Micro, standard and Offshore sizes. Lightweight fiber-reinforced Carbo-Cams® for racing where weight is critical, or where adjustments are less frequent. Available in Micro and standard sizes.
Long-Lasting Protection
Ball bearings and Carbo-Cams® UV-stabilized with carbon-black additive for maximum protection.

Intensive development efforts have produced this range of cleats that provide unbeatable holding power, yet are designed for easy cleating and releasing of control lines in every application and load condition. Through the use of advanced composites, these cleats achieve superior performance while overcoming the limitations of metal alloys. Ronstan cam cleats are strong, light and corrosion free. The unique tooth profile and cam geometry are designed to grip without damaging the rope. A multi-coil spring recessed in the upper part of the cam generates near constant torque. This constant torque ensures secure cleating of even the smallest lines with minimal abrasion or rope wear and low line entry and exit efforts. The lightweight ultra rigid carbon fibre composite cams of the c-cleat are corrosion free, suffer virtually no tooth wear and are non rope abrasive.

The combined advances in rope, materials and computer technology has called on all the resources of RWO engineers to meet the challenge and produce the most efficient cleat in the world. Unique teeth progression which has been scientifically tested to offer similar amounts of holding power on small or large rope diameters (Just try and use a smaller line for same application and hold it in your hand to get some idea of the grip required.) On older cam's just one or two teeth attempt to retain the rope which was OK for more forgiving old fashion softer rope, but now with the harder core Hi-tech rope higher loading under tension are resisting deformation. More teeth contact but at less depth means a kinder cleat to rope wear, easier entry and exit. The contoured cam shell is unlike other designs, it is not a compromise, the carbon fibre teeth form direct wedge to the pillar and transfer the load to the fastenings. The rest of the body is sculptured around this and whilst providing a distinct contrasting also forms part of a lubricated fluted bearing. Thus our engineers, together with computer and plastic experts have maximised the use of modern technics resulting in a world beating design.

Standard clutches can be tough to let off, especially under load. However, Holt Nautos has overcome this problem. Their patented 'Xtreme Release' hinged two-piece lever allows you to easily release the clutch, even under high loads. Having flipped up the handle from its secure clip, you then have maximum leverage to free the rope.
This makes the clutches ideal both for serious racers and for family cruisers - whether you're looking for the ability to blow a spinnaker halyard fast, or just trouble-free sailing with an inexperienced crew, the XR range fits the bill. Furthermore, each clutch prevents accidental release with its snap-shut lip - a superb safety feature for all sailing environments.

Maximum Performance and Minimum Friction in Rutgersons new rope clutches.
The modern, compact design of Rutgersons new rope clutches ensures a neat mounting in line with modern deck layouts. But above all, the new streamlined design dramatically reduces the risk of problems with tangled ropes. The RC 750HP and 1000 have no sharp corners or obstructions to catch the rope.
The RC-clutches also makes the rope running through easier handle. This is because it is the only rope-clutch on the market fitted with an integrated low friction sheave which ensures that the rope runs smoothly - both when winching and when trimming by hand. Naturally, the clutch allows continued trimming of the rope even when it is locked.

Use cam swivel bases when leads must rotate to face the trimmer.
Ball bearing swivel bases feature dual rows of Delrin® ball bearings that swivel freely even under high loads. Bases include stand-up springs and a U-adaptor to accept a variety of appropriate blocks.
The 144 is the standard configuration with a tall arm. It is ideal for mounting in the cockpit or for use on larger keelboats and small offshore boats that use 3.00 in (76 mm) plastic blocks. The lowprofile 205 is used when installation is at deck level and when smaller blocks are used. The 1574 accepts Midrange blocks.
The 216 features a second cleat for lines led vertically through the base of the swivel. It is frequently used to combine vang or backstay controls in the same swivel base that handles the mainsheet.
The 240 and 241 are simple swivel bases for main and jib sheets on very small boats or for control lines on boats of all sizes.
The 402 and 403 are fitted with a double cam for use in two-speed mainsheet systems.
The 462 swivel base with 338 Micro Cam-Matic® provides precise cleating. The 16 mm sheaves feature low-friction stainless steel ball bearings to handle high loads. Ideal for controls where cleating angles change dramatically.

Clamcleat rope cleats now need little introduction. The principle of the converging tapered grooves ensures grip without wear. Simply lay the rope which will automatically cleat under load. To release just jerk upwards.
There are now 3 basic models (i) original moulded nylon, (ii) racing aluminium silver coated, (iii) racing aluminium hard anodised.
The nylon models remain best value for where high loads or rope surge are not encountered.
