A wide range of generating sets, comprising generator and diesel engine mounted on a common baseframe, are available for both service power generation and for diesel-electric propulsion. All generating sets are based on medium-speed diesel engines designed for operating on heavy fuel oil. The generating sets are resiliently mounted and the generator voltage can be selected.

20 kW sets go into commercial vessels that need continuous AC power to operate. Without power the work doesn't get done. Unfortunately most sets this size have small displacement, light duty diesels that can't stand up to heavy use. Some even need turbochargers to compensate for their small displacement.
The M20CRW3 is different. Powered by a naturally aspirated, four cylinder, 2.2 liter (135 cid) Lugger diesel, this set has the low end torque needed to start big electric motors without breaking a sweat.
You choose heat exchanger or keel cooling. The marinization is designed to reduce belts, hoses, gaskets and other trouble spots. The components are stoutly built from the best materials: cast-iron, cupro-nickel, stainless steel and bronze.

H. Cegielski - Pozna S.A. offers an extensive range of modern power systems based on both four-stroke and two-stroke engines. These engines are the main building block of stationary diesel-electric power stations.
The engines can be delivered either as separate units or integrated into generating sets, also with auxiliary equipment. All units are designed for installation in buildings or in stationary or mobile containers.
Stationary power plants constitute a primary source of power for public networks or industrial plants in areas where electricity supply is limited or unavailable.
Generating sets for land applications
These units are used as a primary source of power for the public power grid or industrial plants in areas where electricity supply is limited or unavailable, or as a standby power source in primary power failure situations. Generating sets can be based on either two-stroke or four-stroke engines.
The offer includes plain generating sets as well as:
- Complete stationary power plants (generating sets complete with mechanical and electrical auxiliaries and automatic control systems, installed in buildings), delivered turnkey;
- Container size (modular) power plants, designed for transport to and installation in any location.
Key target markets for these products include countries which have power supply problems and countries incorporating large islands, in which the power industry is normally based on diesel power plants (Greece, Spain, Portugal, India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the countries of the Middle East, Africa and Latin America).

Reliability. Durability. Simplicity.
The M1276A2 series of Northern Lights generator sets are built to be run at high loads. Based on the solid reliability of a four-valve Lugger diesel engine, the M1276A2's can produce reliable on-board power, with a kilowatt range of 280 kW at 60 Hz (1800 RPM) or 230 kW at 50 Hz (1500 RPM).
It starts with engineering.
Northern Lights engineers its generators around some important core principles. At the forefront, is the commitment to creating power in a reliably efficient package. The cast iron exhaust manifold is combined with the expansion tank and heat exchanger housings on the M1276 series into a durable, robust jacket water cooling system.
If it’s not there, it can’t break.
Advanced engineering has minimized the number of hoses, belts and gaskets. Most service points are conveniently located on a common side. M1276A2’s are also designed to allow for longer time between oil changes than comparable models.
Electronics equal better fuel economy.
The ultra high pressure electronic fuel injection on the M1276A2 series allows for quick, smoke-less starts - even when cold - and improves fuel economy. The electronic control unit promotes protection by self-diagnosis.
Keep it safe, keep it running.
Safety and peace of mind come standard with your Northern Lights generator set as well. Northern Lights DC Logic System continually monitors vital engine functions. The automatic AC voltage regulator keeps voltage to +/- 1% to help protect the most sensitive instruments and electronics from power dips and surges. Automatic safety shutdowns for low oil pressure and high coolant temperature are standard features of the M1276A2 family.

The M1064 Series marine generator sets are powered by new, US EPA Tier II compliant, Lugger diesels. These sets incorporate many new features that add high power density to the Northern Lights reputation for cast-iron reliability, simplicity and durability.
An important decision.
Whether you’re repowering your vessel or building a new yacht, your future enjoyment depends on the generator set you choose today. It will run day and night, so smooth, quiet operation, long engine life, and fuel consumption are major considerations. With so much depending on your new set, it pays to choose one that is built up to a high standard of quality; not down to a low price. It pays to choose Northern Lights.
The heritage continues.
Four decades of marine experience stands behind every Northern Lights. Yachtsmen like you have made them standard equipment on yachts from the world’s premier builders. Service is handled by an international dealer group with assistance from factory branches.
Selection without compromise.
Underloaded and overloaded generators cause problems and waste money. With five models from 33 to 99 kW, there is a M1064, 60 Hz or 50 HZ set that is just the right size for your vessel.
Multiple set power teams.
Northern Lights broad range, 5 to 520 kW, lets you combine multiple sets aboard your vessel. Use two M1064s to simplify maintenance and parts supplies. A smaller unit can be a night set. Mix and match sets for the best, single source power solution.

Don't trust your livelihood to anything less than the best marine power products on the market.
In commercial applications, heavy duty fuel-efficient continuous duty generator sets are a must. Poorly designed, budget conscious gensets that are ill equipped to run full load day-in, day-out can literally endanger livelihoods. Answering the call of the commercial operator is the new Northern Lights M38CR2.
A turbo-charged generator set to meet the demands of the commercial marine operator, the M38CR2 is custom marinized for 38kW of continuous on-board power. The M38CR2 achieves full power at 1800 RPM and is reconnectable for either three or single phase operation.
Based on a heavy-duty tractor engine, the M38CR2 is built for long-life at full load. The cast iron, two-pass exhaust manifold provides durability and even temperature control. The exhaust manifold and turbo charger are fresh water cooled. Welded steel base frame and center bonded vibration mounts provide stability and reduce the wear and tear associated with vibration.
