AmbientNAV is easy to pre-set and simply excellent underway. Anti-fog CDI monitors give me super-sharp displays in any light…with single dial dimming…a universal interface for connecting other electronics…plus in-dash programming from my remotely stowed computer. Now my glass bridge looks as clean and contemporary as it functions. Believe me, AmbientNAV is a real upgrade over a hodgepodge of non-integrated devices costing twice as much.

The Actisense NMEA Autoswitch (NSW-1) from Active Research, allows the data from up to four NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) input devices to be switched to a single NMEA output, by determining the highest priority device with good data.
Replace your mechanical changeover switch with the NSW-1 automatic changeover system from Actisense. The intelligent Autoswitch (NSW-1) will guarantee that the best input device is always selected to supply the NMEA data output, automatically choosing the next highest if the current highest priority input device should fail for any reason.

The Actisense NMEA 2000 Gateway is an easy way to link between your boat's data networks. The NGW-1 makes it possible to convert NMEA 0183 data into NMEA 2000 data and vice-versa.
Using the advanced configuration software it is simple to set up which data items you want translated between the two buses.
The NGW-1 allows you to keep your current NMEA 0183 equipment, or to incorporate the latest NMEA 2000 equipment into your curent NMEA 0183 system. It also allows a single cable NMEA 2000 bus system to be installed, allowing data from any node on the bus to talk to any other, including those NMEA 0183 instruments connected using our gateway. In this mode, the NMEA 2000 network acts like a bi-directional multiplexer, allowing all data sources to talk to each other.
The very latest Actisense ISO-Drive technology has been used in the NGW-1 to separate the output from ground. Electrical spike protection is provided as standard on the NGW-1's input using full galvanic Opto-isolation to provide superior protection to the NMEA source device. Thus full isolation is maintained between the NMEA 0183 input and output and the NMEA 2000 CAN bus.
Simple to use, the NGW-1 is provided with all required cabling, and also incorporates screw terminal connectors within the case to allow customer specific wiring to be done.

The Actisense™ USG-1 interface is an easy, safe and low-cost method of connecting a marine NMEA 0183 system to a USB equipped PC. Whilst protecting the most vital and expensive devices in the NMEA 0183 system, it also creates a virtual serial port that allows connection to an NMEA 0183 (RS422) marine bus link.
Total galvanic isolation is assured using an ISO-Drive output and the use of the trusted Actisense OPTO isolated input circuitry.
The ISO-Drive output offers total galvanic isolation from the input and can "float" safely up to 1500 VDC from ground. Its sophisticated circuitry is 100% compatible with the NMEA 0183 RS422, industrial RS485 and single-ended PC RS232 "COM" ports.
The USG-1 provides comprehensive isolation of the expensive PC hardware when connecting to an NMEA 0183 (RS422) bus that may have picked up potentially hazardous voltages around the electrically noisy environment of a vessel or factory, and makes installation simple due to the isolation of the PC ground from the NMEA 0183 data network ground, often the biggest cause of data errors and one of the biggest safety hazards in any electronic installation.

The Actisense%u2122 NMEA Multiplexer / Combiner allows connection of up to four NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) inputs to be multiplexed / combined in to one NMEA output.
This approach offers these major advantages:
- Enables the vessel owner complete access to all NMEA data sources, instead of the standard one device
- Each NMEA input device is Opto-isolated from all other NMEA device in the system
- Any NMEA data not required can be easily filtered out to reduce the total amount of NMEA data in the system
- Each input and output Baud rate can be changed to match the requirements of connected devices
Electrical spike protection is provided as standard on all four input channels using opto-isolators. This protects any connected equipment from most system faults; a particularly valuable benefit as equipment requiring the most data, such as a PC or chart plotter, is often the most expensive to repair or replace.
The NDC-2 Data Multiplexer contains highly intelligent software that manages the multiplexing and filtering operation, allowing every input to have a chance of its data reaching the combined NMEA output. Tested up to and beyond a combined 300% loading of the four inputs.

|
This Actisense NMEA Multiplexer / Combiner allows connection of up to five NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) inputs, and multiplexes / combines them to its two NMEA outputs.
This approach offers these major advantages:
- Enables the vessel owner complete access to all NMEA data sources, instead of the standard one device
- Each NMEA input device is Opto-isolated from all other NMEA device in the system
- Significant reductions in installation cost (from reduced cable lengths and requiring only one NMEA cable to be routed around the bridge to supply the multiplexed NMEA data
The NDC-4 has two ISO-Drive outputs which are fully compatible with both NMEA 0183 and PC RS232 ports.
The NDC-4-USB has an additional USB bi-directional port which allows a copy of the data on the second ISO-Drive output to be sent to a virtual serial port on a PC, while receiving data from the PC through the same virtual port. This option disables the opto input reserved for the PC connection.

The Actisense NMEA Buffer module is the best solution for buffering weak NMEA sources, allowing NMEA devices to be driven, such as chart plotters, radars, and/or an on-board PC / Laptop.
The very latest Actisense ISO-Drive technology has been added to the NBF-2 so that now each output is separately isolated from each other and from the power supply, making this a world first at this price point and the safest buffer on the market.
The NBF-2 Buffer is required wherever an NMEA source cannot provide sufficient power to drive all the equipment that requires the NMEA data it supplies. It is also ideal for safely interfacing an on board PC to all the NMEA equipment on board a vessel, while providing total Opto-isolation between every device.
Due to the ISO-Drive output, the buffer may also be used where a ground loop problem needs solving, and means that it is not necessary to use supply isolators to achieve isolation between two data sources.
