In any MOB scenario the usual need to launchable rescue craft inevitably creates time-delay and can put additional lives at risk. Maritime international Health & Safety legislation even forbids the launch of many rescue craft in strong wind conditions.
The revolutionary new Sea Saver MOB recovery system has been designed to remove the need to launch a rescue craft & offers unique capabilities to significantly improve the chance of a safe recovery.
Launched from Restech range of PLT maxi & mini pneumatic systems, with extended range capabilities offered by Sea Sam, the Sea Saver is useable in all wind strengths & sea states.
The Sea Saver can be launched beyond the survivor, for a distance of between 30 & 50 metres (or up to 100m in conjunction with Sea sam). The operator can then steer it, encircle & retrieve the survivor.
Apart from extended launch range, the Sea Saver has several other enhanced features that significantly improve effectiveness compared to other MOB systems. It has an automatically inflatable boom, which has multiple harness points to assist survivor self-help potential. It incorporates unique luminescent boom lighting technology, visible from three nautical miles, that assists both the operator & survivor to significantly improve the likelihood of the recovery being fast & efficient at the first attempt.
Once encircled by the boom, the survivor can be safely drawn back to the rescue point and if required lifted vertically up the ships side or structure.

VIKING Liferaft, means of rescue, 12 persons, MOR
For use onboard RO/RO passenger vessels according to SOLAS.
Intended for transfer of people from the water to the deck in an emergency. Carrying capacity: 12 persons lying down. Operated in a way similar to standard davit-launched liferafts and kept to the ship's side by means of bowsing lines.
|
|
Flexible installation and capacity
The VIKING Evacuation Slide, or VES, is a high capacity evacuation system that can be suited to match any ship design and capacity.
The angle of the slide allows for installation in extreme for and aft positions on board ship, yet still avoid critical areas when deployed. Additional liferafts can be positioned almost anywhere on board and remotely released when needed.
A range of liferaft sizes, from 25 person to 101 person, can be used with the system and combined to suit the exact capacity requirements of the ship.
The system can be built in flush to the vessel's side to blend discreetly into the ship's design.

The RFD Marin-Ark marine evacuation system provides the most advanced way of evacuating passengers and crew from all types of passenger vessels in an emergency.
Evacuees transfer quickly and safely from the ship directly into the liferaft without exposure to the weather. The innovative RFD Marin-Ark was the first evacuation system in the world to fully comply with the latest International Maritime Organisation (IMO)/SOLAS Chapter III regulations governing safety on board passenger vessels.

VIKING's evacuation chute systems are the ideal solution for high sided passenger vessels
High capacity passenger vessels need evacuation systems that deploy quickly and easily and provide fast, safe evacuation of all on board within 30 minutes.
The fully enclosed Kevlar lined chute is fire retardent and protects evacuees from severe weather conditions during descent and compensates for ship and sea movement during evacuation for safe transfer into the system liferafts.
VIKING systems are compact and discreet, requiring minimum deck space
Chute systems are specially designed to maximise deck space and sea view during storage. The VEC can be installed anywhere on board; on open deck, between decks in an open recess or built into the ship's side. Additional liferafts can be stored in remote locations and released by pump at the evacuation point. The compact nature allows for fast and easy removal for servicing.

|
VIKING's Evacuation MiniChute system is designed especially
for small and medium sized vessels
The VEMC design is based on the effective design of the full size VIKING Evacuation Chute (VEC). The system is lightweight and compact, and is fully contained in the stowage unit for installation almost anywhere on board.
Flexible capacity
The system contains a 101 person self-righting liferaft. Capacity can be increased by attaching additional throw overboard liferafts.
The fully enclosed Kevlar lined chute is fire retardent and protects evacuees from severe weather conditions during descent and compensates for ship and sea movement during evacuation for safe transfer into the system liferafts. The stowage unit can be easily unbolted and lifted from the vessel for servicing.

Easily thrown 20-30 meters, this new automatic inflatable Life Buoy will soon be necessity on any vessel taking pride in her self. "It is fantastic. It has buoyancy of 155N, more than three times the required buoyancy by the EN 393. It can easily be thrown 20-30 meters and it costs less than the old fashion Life Buoy". The Rescue Egg can be hung on the wall or at a convenient place - inside or outside the vessel.
|
|
The Rescue Buoy can be thrown 25-30 meters. It contains 30 meters of line so you will be able to drag a person back to the throwing point.
The Rescue Buoy will automatically inflate within 2 seconds after hitting the water
