This is why each Figee gantry grab crane is tuned to the specifc requirements of the end user. Think of a completely rail-mounted transshipment system for iron ore, including a ship unloader and gantry crane with two independent trolleys. Or a 360 ° slewable gantry crane capable of unloading on both sides of the jetty. If you are looking for effciency, short cycle times, high transshipment capacity, safety, ergonomics and durability, you'll want a gantry grab crane from Kenz-Figee.

Auxiliary (compensating) rope trolley not required. Total amount of ropes 60 % less than in conventional unloader.
Separate rope tensioning device is not required.
Only one rope per drum. Changing of ropes is easy to do.
Longer lifetime of ropes
Efficient control on ropes at all times. No slack rope problems.
Frequency controlled AC drives. Squirrel cage AC motors are practically maintenance free.
Four equal size drive machinery (AC motor, brake, gear box and rope drum). All drive components fully interchangeable.
The physical size of the main drive components is smaller than in conventional design. Handling and changing of components is easier to carry out.

The majority of applications call for gantry-type cranes, with high throughputs so that ship turn-around times are kept to a minimum. Krupp Fördertechnik gantry grab unloaders, which come in all sizes and designs are in operation worldwide with throughputs as much as 5,100 t/h in ore and 4,200 t/h in coal, with grab payloads of up to 85 tonnes. The troughput rate depends directly upon the ship´s hold, the grab capacity, gantry movements and the size of the receiving bunker. Slewing and luffing cranes are frequently employed for smaller capacities. They are indispensable when material types and feed poinds vary greatly and a high level of flexibility is required.
Closed-loop control, automated movement control and efficient drive technology make modern grab unloader versatile and efficient.
