With most economy gel coat systems, the compromise made to get a lower cost unit often comes with a lower quality performance. The GlasCraft G2 Gel Coat System was designed to achieve superior results without the traditional trade-offs.
The GlasCraft G2 System comes standard with the GlasCraft LPA-II-AAC spray gun. Air Assist Containment (AAC) spray technology takes advantage of an exclusive design which provides a controlling "air curtain" to provide the highest material transfer efficiency available.
A 13:1 ratio Material Pump is used to deliver 1.25 GPM. The durable and dependable SP-85 Catalyst Slave Pump completes the list of "standard" components of the G2 System.
GlasCraft also offers a gel coat heater option which is available on the G2H system. This provides consistent material temperature as it is being applied to the mold surface.

The proven technology of the GlasCraft INDy is available for gel-coat applications. The NEW INDy Gun is the most reliable internal mix gun available in the market today. It can be started for operation and shut down at the end of the job very quickly. It is also very economical to maintain over it's extended life-cycle.
Non-atomized dispense of polyester resin is one of the single most important issues for open-mold processing. The GlasCraft-exclusive, single orifice, directed column dispense technology of the INDy delivers unmatched performance and material transfer efficiency. The design allows the system to operate at the lowest levels of styrene emissions and genere the most workable dispersion of material available. Higher quality and lower emissions make the INDy Gel-Coat system a wise investment for any fabricator.

In-Plant Proportioners
The Guardian IP-Series is a high performance dispensing system for polyurethane foam, adhesives, and elastomeric coatings specifically designed for In-Plant applications. Its compact, portable design fits through standard doorways and is easy to maneuver within the plant.
Options available for the Guardian IP systems include the Delayed Air Purge and Dispense Cycle counter. Additional information on these options can be located on the right hand tool bar.
GlasCraft’s fluid pumps are 200% to 400% larger than the competition. This results in 50% to 75% less pump strokes to dispense the same amount of material. Reduced pump cycles means less wear & tear on the seals resulting in reduced maintenance costs, less downtime and longer pump life.
The Guardian IP-Series is available in a number of configurations, including both low- and high-pressure and low- and high-heat models. In general, the A5-Series is best suited to Spray Foam applications and the A6-Series is suitable for both Spray Foam and Polyurea Coatings applications. Please review the literature for each at the right to learn more about the differences between the Guardian A5 and A6 lines.

GlasCraft's Multi-Color Gel Coat (MCG) System has been designed to provide manufacturers with all the durability and modularity of a standard Gel Coat System while allowing operators to feed a multitude of fluid sections. This allows for greater efficiency in FRP operations that require numerous colors or continuous color change.
The quick, efficient color change of the MCG eliminates a significant amount of material waste in such operations. The GlasCraft MCG can be outfitted with gun technology that takes advantage of GlasCraft's exclusive Air Assist Containment (AAC) technology for even greater material transfer efficiency. AAC delivers a containment "curtain of air" so that the impinging stream is highly controlled and the resulting spray pattern enhanced and defined. The MCG also makes use of the GlasCraft model SP-85 catalyst slave pump and the industry leading 11:1 ratio material pump.

The 2001 GW gun is a lightweight, hand-held, plural component spray gun for spraying limited applications of two-component materials, such as gel-coats or polyesters. The spray gun is operated in the conventional manner. The trigger action starts, and stops, the spray of both materials simultaneously. The two materials exit separately as an atomized spray from their respective nozzles and impinge on each other approximately 6" in front of the gun (resin) nozzle. Here, the resulting turbulence insures intimate mixing.
The "base" resin is "cured" by addition of a curative (catalyst) in a required ratio. In the 2001 GW gun, ratios of approximately 10:1 to perhaps 33:1 are possible by extending the curative with a compatible diluent.

Resin spray-up is one of the first steps in the mechanisation of laminate transformation in the thermoset industry. The productivity achieved can be quite spectacular. Around 60% of workforce savings can be reached through efficient resin spray-up. Moreover, low pressure techniques with head mix and the latest nozzle technologies are particularly operator and environmental friendly.
Matrasur Composites offers a large panel of machines specially adapted for this application, covering most part sizes and compatible with all resins today.
