Divinycell F recyclable, prepreg compatible sandwich core represents a significant breakthrough in core material development. In addition to offering excellent FST (fire, smoke and toxicity) properties, it also has good mechanical properties and processing characteristics.
High Performance Applications
With its combination of excellent fire properties, good mechanicals and processing characteristics, Divinycell F is ideal for a wide variety of commercial aircraft interior applications.
It more than exceeds the US and European regulatory requirements for commercial aircraft interiors and is used for such components as wall paneling, ceiling modules, luggage bins and doors/lockers. Its close cell structure makes it particularly suitable for galleys and toilets.
Divinycell F is particularly fast and easy to process and does not require edge filling.

For more than 30 years Divinycell H has been the first choice of leading producers of sandwich composite structures around the world. During this time the properties of Divinycell H have been continuously enhanced and improved so that it continues to be ideal for the vast majority of sandwich composite applications.
Ideal for a Wide Range of Applications
Divinycell H has been widely used over many years in virtually every application area where sandwich composites are employed. These include the marine (leisure, military and commercial), land transportation, wind energy, civil engineering/infrastructure and general industrial markets.
Material & Process Compatibility
Divinycell H is compatible with virtually all commonly used resin systems (polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy) including those with high styrene contents. Its good temperature performance with high residual strength and good dimensional stability, makes Divinycell H ideal for hand laminating, vacuum bagging, RTM (resin transfer molding) and other closed molding processes.
Mechanical Properties
In its application range Divinycell H has the highest strength to density ratio. It exhibits at both ambient and elevated temperatures impressive compressive strength and shear properties (normally the most important for a sandwich core material).

With its unique combination of features - low weight /high strength, wide processing envelope and high temperature performance - prepreg compatible Divinycell HP is ideal for a wide range of applications in the marine, wind energy, transportation and industrial markets.
Temperature Performance
With its high processing temperature, Divinycell HP can be processed at a much higher temperature than other polymer core materials in general use, making it suitable for not only low but also medium temperature prepregs.
Its elevated temperature performance is not just beneficial to prepreg users. Its high residual strength and good dimensional stability also make it ideal for vacuum bagging, infusion and RTM (resin transfer molding). HP's elevated temperature performance also extends to the 'in service' life of the component. Divinycell HP will retain a high percentage of its mechanical properties despite long term exposure to high ambient temperatures.
Strength Performance
Divinycell HP exhibits at both ambient and elevated temperatures impressive compression and shear properties (normally the most important for a sandwich core material) that are better than other commonly used ‘elevated temperature’ core materials. The figures for shear strain show that HP has good ductility and energy absorption characteristics. Testing has shown that HP also outperforms linear cores in terms of slamming resistance.
Adhesion
Divinycell HP also excels is in adhesion. Peel tests have been performed using commonly used resin systems and prepregs with superior results to other cores used for prepregs.
