The Transwave is characterised by its impressive planing power, balanced control and superb handling.
It has an increased profile for more drive and maximum planing power. The Transwave is the perfect choice for wave sailors who prefer a powerful sail with direct control and an extra slice of power. Also flat water freestylers choose the Transwave just because of its incredible planing power and fast sail rotation.
The Transwave is, like the Steel, equipped with two asymmetrical placed clew eyelets which give you much more range for an individual tuning.
Construction and fitting of the Transwave are of the highest level. 75% x-ply construction and tough reinforcements on all edges and borders guarantee maximum longevity. Of course the Transwave can be rigged equally well with SDM and RDM masts.
Key facts:
Constant release of power for great early planing
Wide range of use thanks to its extensive tuning ability

The Steel is a universal wave sail for real wave sailors.
A well balanced shape, easy to control, a smooth release of power, with fast reactions – these are the key characteristics of the Steel.
Our new generation of wave sails make no distinction between side and onshore conditions: The Steel is designed to work in every wave venue, therefore the construction and fittings of the sail are crucial aspects. Every sail window is made from reinforced x-ply materials, and the leech areas are a lamination of two reinforced layers.
Potential stressed zones are protected by seam covers or rubber edges and double seams secure all the stressed panels.
The Steel offers a very individual trim thanks to its two clew eyelets which allow you to adjust to the differing conditions and venues. Depending on the sail size, the boom length can vary up to 5 cm. Using the upper eyelet, the Steel feels more powerful and more direct combined with more planing power. Using the lower eyelet, the sail will feel more compact, the leech will twist a bit more and the control in higher winds is extended.
The versatility of this sail will simplify your decision when choosing your next wave sail: The Steel is the perfect choice for every kind of wave condition.

The Loft's hard-core wave design that excels in both onshore and sideshore conditions.
How? Extreme trim-reactivity%u2026 Loftsails are consistently credited with the broadest of wind ranges in magazine tests.
For 2010, new curve schedules are cut into the Lip Wave; the upper sail body has been tuned to be slightly firmer. This refinement allows the application of greater downhaul tension, which takes effective leech release further down the leech towards the clew.
You can feel the result: the Lip Wave 2010 is an ultra-trim-reactive design that adapt to your riding style, and your windsurfing conditions.
The Lip is born in the wind and excels in the upper end. The Lip Wave is easy - dynamic response you can feel. RDM recommended, NDM compatible.

The third place. There’s windsurfing. There’s surfing. And there’s something else. When you go there, you’ll need the Zone. If you’re heading for a “close to surfing” experience, then the Zone is your ride; featherlight responsiveness, strength and control - it’s our most invisible sail yet. Super accurate point and shoot handling is the least you’d expect, but the neutrality and transparency is something you probably never imagined. Zone; the third place. It’s the place where Jason hangs out.

Very rarely so many physically different windsurfers became so intensively involved in the development of a single sail. This time heavyweights Jimmy Diaz and Kai Hopf put in their time as well as our flyweight freestylers Gollito, Brawzinho and André Paskowski. As a result we believe no other sail can cover the entire range from waves to flat water Freestyle as perfectly as the new DUKE.
The basic requirements for a Power Wave and a Freestyle sail are very similar: great planing potential combined with maximum handling and good controllability. The DUKE sizes up to 5.4m2, were designed as powerful Wave sails. By possessing the greatest trimming versatility of all our Wave sails, the DUKE ’s easily controlled by medium weight riders too. With the help of the brand new TWIN.TRIM.CLEW the variance of trim has improved again for 2010.
For sizes 5.9m2 and above, Kai Hopf improved the new DUKE strictly according to the specifications of our Double Freestyle World Champion Jose “Gollito” Estredo, Vice Freestyle World Champ Brawzinho and EFPT Champion André Paskowski. Already featuring 5 battens and HYPER.LEECH II it was the optimized foot geometry that really improved this season’s breakthrough in handling for modern Freestyle tricks. All DUKE models are made to suit SDM masts, which ideally fit this type of direct-feeling sail.

Goodbye Hammer, welcome Steel, the new radical wave sail in the Gun Sails collection.
The Steel supports the pure waveriding style: easy to handle, stable, absorbs the gusts and fast reacting.
The new shape of the Steel concentrates more on the middle and lower area and the batten configuration was also re-designed. The New Steel is a little deeper than the Hammer and the centre of effort is positioned slightly nearer the mast, which makes the sail more neutral, eliminates any back hand pressure and extends the range of use in high winds.
A new panel layout with a robust Dacron luff panel offers a perfect on/off feel.
With the wider clew trim range, you can get a deeper profile and thus get more performance in onshore conditions or on low wind days.
A new feature is also the two clew eyelet concept which give you scope for an individual tuning: opt for a more direct or rather soft feeling.
Due to the fact that the construction and equipment of a radical wave sail are important purchase criteria, we have attached great importance to these points.
All sail windows are constructed in reinforced x-ply materials. Potential weak spots are protected by seam coverings or rubber tubes. Solid applications improve the frame. A “lightweight construction” is definitely not our style.
Key facts:
100% x-ply construction for maximum demands
Faster power on/off for radical wave rides
A repositioned centre of effort avoids back hand pressure
Better gusts absorption thanks to Dacron mast panels and less pre-tension
SDM and RDM compatible

For 7 years, the Wave MC was a reliable partner for all power wave sailors and was among our top seller products. Now the time has come for a new design and new features for waves.
Power Wave, this means more drive and power than a radical wave sail whereas it offers maximum control in all conditions.
Our sail designer Renato Morlotti focused on lightness and user-friendliness.
This can be found in a new mast sleeve cut with less bending and new materials, which significantly ease rigging and trimming.
The new Transwave aspect ratio has been re-worked making the sail reaction very fast and giving it an extra turbo power supply for all drives and turns in the waves.
The previous rigid luff panel has been replaced with a dacron panel. This results in reduced panel tension, compared to its forerunner model, the Wave MC, which improves substantially the comfort, cushioning and power on/off.
Two clew eyelets give you a wide range of individual tuning: Opt for a rather direct (upper eyelet) or soft (lower eyelet) feeling.
Of course our new wave sail is equally at home with RDM and SDM masts.
An extreme durability and longevity are guaranteed by the 70% x-ply and complex reinforcements. Renato Morlotti calls it "a pure power wave machine for all wave spots in the world”.
Key facts:
Constant power development for very good planing performance
A more open sail top for more stability and control in high wind conditions
70% x-ply construction for extreme conditions
Better gusts absorption thanks to Dacron mast panels and less pre-tension
SDM and RDM compatible

The 2009 Wave Panther takes over from the long running and successful
Wave SE as our premier wave sail.
Compared to the SE, the Panther has a shorter boom and is lighter weight. On the water, the Wave Panther has a smooth and direct power delivery, combined with very easy handling.
The Panther's design advantage allows operation in a wider wind range, so you can sail longer without the need to re-rig.
The leech area of the Panther utilizes our new, low stretch Technora-fiber sailcloth, which delivers superior performance with less weight. The Panther's mid and luff sections are made of our Spectra X film, for strength and great visibility throughout the body of the sail. We use higher density Spectra X film in the foot area to resist harness hook tears and nose-of-the-board punctures.

The aggressive EGO is a completely new breed of Wave sail, that can and does deliver more than regular Wave sails. Look into for a sail that’s truly ahead of its time. The EGO is the ultimate Wave sail for innovative riders!
The EGO marks a new era of Concept Wave sails, that we intend to develop consistently in the coming years, with a radical approach.
For us, the EGO represents a symbol of innovation, built with exceptional materials to incorporate the latest trends in sail design. Yet despite our passion for innovation, we are true to our motto „innovation follows function“. With this in mind, Kai Hopf developed the BALANCED.LUFF.LENGTH, a precisely balanced ratio of luff length to boom length. As short and compact as possible for radical handling and as long as necessary for a decent twist, and ensuring maximum wind range. In order to achieve sensible sizes, Kai uses the proven NORTH SAILS CROSS.BATTEN.CONCEPT in combination with the CUTAWAY.CLEW, that’s reaped real benefits in handling. When it comes to the number of battens, Kai is fairly conservative, since good high-end control and a wide wind-range still demand 5 battens.
IMPORTANT: the EGO is our first sail exclusively designed for RDM masts due to its special elastic characteristics. The smaller mast diameter perfectly matches this softer feeling sail and shorter luff.

A World Cup Wave sail must have the potential to get the maximum out of every situation, because only victory counts. This is why the new ICE works even under the widest range of conditions, developing maximum performance under critical circumstances. This has been mainly achieved through the optimized foot geometry, a slightly set back centre of effort, and a reduced sail foil tension.
Extremely aggressive and - thanks to the optimized foot profile - a true handling miracle, especially when descending the wave: this is how our team describes this radical 5-batten power engine. Everyone has been impressed by the performance and the lightning-fast reaction of the ICE, which is totally independent from one’s own body weight.
NEW:
All ICE sizes were designed for RDM masts, but are still compatible with SDM masts. That’s why the new ICE feels softer and can be easily controlled and pumped onto the plane. These abilities are also supported by the modified luff curve and the optimized leech tension.
The iMODULAR.DESIGN ’s optimized sail weight continues to have a positive impact on handling. Since the ICE was designed for all World Cup spots, it functions equally well from Ho’okipa to Sylt, to Gran Canaria or at your favorite spot.
