The 2008 Mega X line was completely redesigned and it combines all the modern design features. The result is a demanding and professional speed machine for all engaged speed, slalom and race sailors.
A new and slimmer mast sleeve profile, out of innovative “Lektra”; a light, stable and semi-transparent foil material. With the use of this special material, it was possible to significantly reduce the sail weight. A further plus is the reduced boom length for compact handling. Four cams and 7/5 or 8/5 batten configuration in the cross batten concept ensure maximum control. Easy rigging is achieved with reduced luff tension and zipper openings at the cams.
The Mega XS line is designed for speed and slalom disciplines, the Mega XR line will suit formula/race sailors.
Key facts:
7 battens with 5 tubes or 8 battens /5 tubes, depending on size and range of use
Reduced boom length
Airfoil leech design with light wing top for more control in a broad wind range
New mast sleeve out of “Lektra” for less weight
TIP:
With our special Carbon Tuning Kit you can get even more power for your Mega X sail.

Key facts:
Reduced boom length for more compact handling
7/4 or 8/4 batten configuration in cross batten concept
Airfoil leech design with light wing top for more control in a broad wind range
2 clew eyelets for flexibility of boom height in different conditions
Medium-sized mast sleeve combined with deep profile for maximum early planing power
The brand-new freerace sail, Cannonball is the follow-up model of the Booster.
This sail was designed for sporty fast riders and GPS racers, who demand a maximum of performance on all headings.
In comparison to a pure race sail the Cannonball is easier to sail and requires less effort than a full on race sail.
User-friendliness and comfort are further key characteristics of our speed machine.
A medium mast sleeve, 3 new cams, reduced boom and 7 / 8 battens in the cross batten concept provide immense early planing power, top acceleration and maximum top end speed.
With the harmonic characteristic of the deep profile and distinctive loose leech you can cover an extremely broad wind range. The Cannonball is equipped with four stiff tube battens which fixes the centre of effort and eases the sail control in the upper wind range.

Dominate the Race scene the world over as you ride what very well could be the fastest sail ever designed. Just ask Dave White, who pushed the 007 sail to 46.2 knots, beating every other brand on the marketplace.
Advances in mast technology have redoubled quality as the Vapor features a fresh new luff curve to match Gaastra's lightest fastest mast yet. Meticulously tuned camber pressures continue to make rotation a snap, while Gaastra's wrinkle-free wingsock, presents a super clean leading edge.

The Naish Stealth is a no compromise wide sleeve race sail that delivers powerful acceleration and effortless top speed. A new shaping technology has allowed us to build the record breaking Stealth with just 7 battens up through the 8.8, and the resulting lighter weight is a huge advantage both for pumping and for transitions.
This sail is not for the faint of heart!

The 06 Formula had some great qualities, but the 07 is really something else. The most noticable change is the cool new graphic, but there have been important technical improvements made to enhance top-end draft stability. This has all been done without sacrificing the endearing features seen in the 06 model, particularly the lightweight handling, friendliness and great all-round performance.

The VMG is Aerotech's all out race sail. This model has been tweaked for 2009 building on the winning ways of the 2008 model. With even more shape and double vertical shaping panels you will find it has an even wider range while maintaining the slippery feel that the VMG stands for. the exclusive use of exotic materials (and no monofilm) for the construction allows weights to be kept to a minimum and performance kept to a maximum.

The Zenith is a no-cam power slalom sail. It is your best choice for a sail designed specifically for cruising on longboards or big freeride stuff. With its tight leech and fuller shape, this model allows the rider to be powered up on a smaller sail. The reduced luff curve allows for hassle-free rigging. With its unique design, it can be tuned for non-planing conditions with a tight leech or pretty floppy for the overpowering stuff. Nice and bright for maximum 'wow'. The Zenith is the choice for the Exocet Kona one-design sail. This sail went unchanged from 2008 to 2009.

For 2008, the Retro is sporting a slightly lower center of effort, made possible by a smaller head, longer chord and deeper foot profile. Mitigating the longer chord length is a clew cutout for the boom end on all the 7-batten Retro sizes (6.0 m² and up), which reduces the actual boom length, despite the lower aspect ratio. The clew cutout has additional advantages in that it lowers the swing weight of the rig and makes it possible to use a given boom on a larger size sail than was previously possible.

The SC and FC are the full blooded, Slalom Competition and Formula Competition World Cup racing sails. From ultra light wind upwind tactical performance to heavy air downwind slalom, the SC and FC will get you to the finish line first. For 2008, focus has been placed on increasing the wind range of each size, while keeping the power low in the sail for better overall control. Batten number 7 crosses the sail at boom level, giving solid and direct adjustment on adjustable outhaul systems. Kevlar Stretch Control Tendons create a framework of reinforcements through the Body of the sail to minimize cloth stretch in key areas, greatly increasing wind range and positive handling characteristics.

A no-compromise racing sail, the Spitfire features: 8 battens, 4 micro battens, 4 cams, a graduated three-part luff tube and a properly reinforced lightweight construction. Combine a Spitfire with the correct Tushingham Superlight mast, and you have a race-winning rig straight out of the bag. A new larger roller cam was introduced, mid '04, which combined with an extra reinforcement layer in the lower half of the mast, has made this into the most reliable rig on the Formula circuit. Many racers are now opting for the 11.8m as their biggest sail, which is why we've introduced the 10.5m for 2005 as their logical step down sail. Devastatingly fast, the Spitfire is optimised for sailing to windward and deep off the wind when well overpowered, the characteristics required for Formula racing. It's a dedicated sail for dedicated use - recreational sailors who want good early planing are advised to look at the Lightning.
