EchoPilot's Windmaster takes a radical approach has been taken with both the design of the display and the masthead sensor.
An extremely high contrast dot matrix display offers a range of possible screens. Apparent and true wind readings are available on each of the wind displays (true wind is only available if a log transducer is connected). Three GPS repeater screens are included as a bonus (including Echopilot%u2019s famous pseudo-compass steering aid to a waypoint for sailboats), allowing a GPS to be connected as well as the wind sensor if an NMEA combiner is used.
The ultrasonic masthead unit has no moving parts and is easily installed on any mast. Two pairs of ultrasonic crystals give both wind speed and direction in NMEA 0183. Errors common on wind vane sensors due to heel and gyroscopic effects (precessing) are virtually eliminated.

Windicators Three high performance indicators designed for extreme sensitivity at all angles of inclination in even the lightest winds. Constructed from highest quality marine materials such as Duralumin, Stainless steel and UV stabilised Delrin for long life and durability. They are packed separately in attractive retail packaging and include specially designed mounting bracket to suit top mast or lateral attachment. Two larger sizes are fitted with reflectors for night time sailing.
