The third place. There’s windsurfing. There’s surfing. And there’s something else. When you go there, you’ll need the Zone. If you’re heading for a “close to surfing” experience, then the Zone is your ride; featherlight responsiveness, strength and control - it’s our most invisible sail yet. Super accurate point and shoot handling is the least you’d expect, but the neutrality and transparency is something you probably never imagined. Zone; the third place. It’s the place where Jason hangs out.

No boundaries. Every now and then, a development in sport comes along which redefines the parameters, rocks the establishment and ignites the human spirit. The Fly is such a development. Created for new school wave riders who also want to be pilots, the Fly says “no” to gravity - translating wave face into launching ramp - giving you more time for an airshow, or simply to explore the oceans from above. Fast, light, soft feeling, compact and maneuverable - the Fly gives you liquid control on the water too for the brief moments you’re there, with fully loaded power for aggressive rail-riding turn sand velocity down the line. Especially suited to multi fins boards. The Fly - it’ll take you to new places. (Just ask Kauli).

Goodbye Hammer, welcome Steel, the new radical wave sail in the Gun Sails collection.
The Steel supports the pure waveriding style: easy to handle, stable, absorbs the gusts and fast reacting.
The new shape of the Steel concentrates more on the middle and lower area and the batten configuration was also re-designed. The New Steel is a little deeper than the Hammer and the centre of effort is positioned slightly nearer the mast, which makes the sail more neutral, eliminates any back hand pressure and extends the range of use in high winds.
A new panel layout with a robust Dacron luff panel offers a perfect on/off feel.
With the wider clew trim range, you can get a deeper profile and thus get more performance in onshore conditions or on low wind days.
A new feature is also the two clew eyelet concept which give you scope for an individual tuning: opt for a more direct or rather soft feeling.
Due to the fact that the construction and equipment of a radical wave sail are important purchase criteria, we have attached great importance to these points.
All sail windows are constructed in reinforced x-ply materials. Potential weak spots are protected by seam coverings or rubber tubes. Solid applications improve the frame. A “lightweight construction” is definitely not our style.
Key facts:
100% x-ply construction for maximum demands
Faster power on/off for radical wave rides
A repositioned centre of effort avoids back hand pressure
Better gusts absorption thanks to Dacron mast panels and less pre-tension
SDM and RDM compatible

For 7 years, the Wave MC was a reliable partner for all power wave sailors and was among our top seller products. Now the time has come for a new design and new features for waves.
Power Wave, this means more drive and power than a radical wave sail whereas it offers maximum control in all conditions.
Our sail designer Renato Morlotti focused on lightness and user-friendliness.
This can be found in a new mast sleeve cut with less bending and new materials, which significantly ease rigging and trimming.
The new Transwave aspect ratio has been re-worked making the sail reaction very fast and giving it an extra turbo power supply for all drives and turns in the waves.
The previous rigid luff panel has been replaced with a dacron panel. This results in reduced panel tension, compared to its forerunner model, the Wave MC, which improves substantially the comfort, cushioning and power on/off.
Two clew eyelets give you a wide range of individual tuning: Opt for a rather direct (upper eyelet) or soft (lower eyelet) feeling.
Of course our new wave sail is equally at home with RDM and SDM masts.
An extreme durability and longevity are guaranteed by the 70% x-ply and complex reinforcements. Renato Morlotti calls it "a pure power wave machine for all wave spots in the world”.
Key facts:
Constant power development for very good planing performance
A more open sail top for more stability and control in high wind conditions
70% x-ply construction for extreme conditions
Better gusts absorption thanks to Dacron mast panels and less pre-tension
SDM and RDM compatible

The 2009 Wave Panther takes over from the long running and successful
Wave SE as our premier wave sail.
Compared to the SE, the Panther has a shorter boom and is lighter weight. On the water, the Wave Panther has a smooth and direct power delivery, combined with very easy handling.
The Panther's design advantage allows operation in a wider wind range, so you can sail longer without the need to re-rig.
The leech area of the Panther utilizes our new, low stretch Technora-fiber sailcloth, which delivers superior performance with less weight. The Panther's mid and luff sections are made of our Spectra X film, for strength and great visibility throughout the body of the sail. We use higher density Spectra X film in the foot area to resist harness hook tears and nose-of-the-board punctures.

Way back in the day when Klaus and Malte were busy shredding Ho’okipa Beach Park, the materials we have today were simply not available. So for these guys, sailing on the edge of what’s sane, X-Ply would have been a blessing. The all X-Ply body paneling plus ”ever-clear” PVC window of the MISSION X create a side to side-offshore surf sail with a combination of smooth feel and the best durability of any sail in our collection. This smooth feel combined with ”pump-ability”, focused power point and a ”quickly neutral” handling characteristic, make the MISSION X the sail of choice for riders looking for top performance and the highest level of durability in gnarly surf conditions.

The Simmer Style heritage runs deep in this wave sail. This is the modern day version of the same sail that dedicated wave sailors and Simmer Style founders Klaus and Malte Simmer used to tear up Ho’okipa Beach Park with back in the day. We’ve constantly refined this sail over the years to make it the best wave sail around whether it was 1981 with tie-on booms at Ho’okipa or its 2010 with carbon masts and quad fins.

The aggressive EGO is a completely new breed of Wave sail, that can and does deliver more than regular Wave sails. Look into for a sail that’s truly ahead of its time. The EGO is the ultimate Wave sail for innovative riders!
The EGO marks a new era of Concept Wave sails, that we intend to develop consistently in the coming years, with a radical approach.
For us, the EGO represents a symbol of innovation, built with exceptional materials to incorporate the latest trends in sail design. Yet despite our passion for innovation, we are true to our motto „innovation follows function“. With this in mind, Kai Hopf developed the BALANCED.LUFF.LENGTH, a precisely balanced ratio of luff length to boom length. As short and compact as possible for radical handling and as long as necessary for a decent twist, and ensuring maximum wind range. In order to achieve sensible sizes, Kai uses the proven NORTH SAILS CROSS.BATTEN.CONCEPT in combination with the CUTAWAY.CLEW, that’s reaped real benefits in handling. When it comes to the number of battens, Kai is fairly conservative, since good high-end control and a wide wind-range still demand 5 battens.
IMPORTANT: the EGO is our first sail exclusively designed for RDM masts due to its special elastic characteristics. The smaller mast diameter perfectly matches this softer feeling sail and shorter luff.

A World Cup Wave sail must have the potential to get the maximum out of every situation, because only victory counts. This is why the new ICE works even under the widest range of conditions, developing maximum performance under critical circumstances. This has been mainly achieved through the optimized foot geometry, a slightly set back centre of effort, and a reduced sail foil tension.
Extremely aggressive and - thanks to the optimized foot profile - a true handling miracle, especially when descending the wave: this is how our team describes this radical 5-batten power engine. Everyone has been impressed by the performance and the lightning-fast reaction of the ICE, which is totally independent from one’s own body weight.
NEW:
All ICE sizes were designed for RDM masts, but are still compatible with SDM masts. That’s why the new ICE feels softer and can be easily controlled and pumped onto the plane. These abilities are also supported by the modified luff curve and the optimized leech tension.
The iMODULAR.DESIGN ’s optimized sail weight continues to have a positive impact on handling. Since the ICE was designed for all World Cup spots, it functions equally well from Ho’okipa to Sylt, to Gran Canaria or at your favorite spot.

The MauiSails Global continues to grab the attention of sailors and testers worldwide as it is discovered to be an ideal choice for on-shore and bump and jump conditions most often found in average sailing conditions. Creating a wave sail that generates smooth power that is manageable at all times is always a challenge. This year we have responded by designing in a light feel that can be enjoyed during a wave maneuver while still maintaining the superb power and handling. You can punch through ragged whitewater and be ready to catch those wind driven waves.
The graphic treatment provides for a large stable film window view and continues the evolution of the Global design theme of 2009. New tack area chafe materials, wrinkle reducing leech load point attachments, US made X-Ply materials, and shape driven batten tapers round out the features for 2010 performance.
If you are looking for a most excellent power wave sail that manages a wide range of conditions with a docile character, Global is the best choice for you.

The S-1 is ultra-light, manoeuvrable and encompasses the latest technological advances in Severne materials and shaping. With a flatter profile and tighter skin tension, the S-1 responds at light speed allowing for placement of the rig with absolute precision.
The 2010 S-1 is the lightest and most durable yet.Materials have been upgraded, the shaping refined and the swing weight moved lower in the sail, closer to the rider's hands.
The Btnount of monofilm in the sail has been halved. This has been replaced with the twisted spectra and aramid structure of KS Optic X-ply, increasing the durability and reducing the weight. e4 has been extended above the top batten to lighten the head of the sail and to bring the swing weight down towards the rider.
The foot panel has adopted the same bombproof HD Dyneema X-pty used in the Blade

The 2010 Ka Kaos delivers exactly what every wave sailor craves. There is ample power to punch through the whitewater and drive through bottom turns, while neutral on the wave face and light in the hands through transitions.
Forward draft placement locks the power in and the dacron luff panels gives the foil the flex to switch the power off when not required.
Full Xply construction with loads of aramid in the high stress areas ensure this sail can weather the harshest conditions.
For 2010 abrasion resistance has been taken to a new level. Features include a new thermoformed mast pad, PVC mouldings on the batten pockets and on the foot and lower seams. The intelligent placement of high tech materials has also allowed some weight reduction without compromising strength.

|
Designed primarily as a Bump and Jump sail the core principles of the 2010 Kult are power, speed and manoeuvrability, all delivered in a simple and extremely durable package.
Full Xply construction, aramid reinforcing throughout and multiple abrasion resistant features mean the Kult will handle the rough stuff.
The power placement is forward and low and the leech has a beautifully progressive twist. You can lock in and blast comfortably at high speed even in the roughest conditions. All this speed and control means massive jumps, so be warned!
With it's loads of low end grunt the Kult becomes a really handy Power Wave sail for larger riders who crave a manoeuvrable sail with lots of horsepower.
The Kult is also perfectly at home cruising in flat water so it is the perfect choice for intermediate sailors who want to progress.
The 2010 Kult is the ultimate allrounder.

Some would say that a legend is a story that is set in stone, a grand tale of the best in the past. But MauiSails™ is not satisfied with leaving things as they were, and always seeks to bring steady improvements and performance value to their finest pure wave sail ever.
Building off of the test and contest winning Legend range of 2009, we have taken the concept of the soft feel and slippery power to new levels. The Legend represents the cutting edge in wave sail design with a balanced forward-oriented power point for hard-driving bottom turns and flawless release twist profile for radical, gouging top turns. Stylish graphic appearance combined with structurally effective material use and location, continue to evolve in Artur Szpunar’s creative imagination. Small detail upgrades make the surface as smooth and efficient as possible.

For 2010, MauiSails introduces a specialty, ultra-light, Technora wave sail called the GHOST XT. The name says it all. The GHOST XT provides surreal, barely there, lightweight handling, together with good power for low wind wave sessions.
Co-Sail Designer Art Szpunar had these comments about the new and exciting design:
"After using the Technora scrim in our XT series race sails for the past two seasons and noticing the material’s excellent combination of ultra-light weight and good durability, we couldn’t resist making some wave protos. I ended up using a 5.3 GHOST XT proto for countless big wave, light wind sessions this last winter and fell in love with the sail.

The Blade's ideology is derived from the fusion of power with control. This sail is designed to drive power down into the board through every turn. The handling remains constant across the entire wind range with every size fine tuned to get you dialled into any conditions.
For 2010 the weight of the Blade has been radically reduced, whilst durability has increased due to extensive use of eM3. This new material fuses e-series technology with MetaleX.
Less seams in the main body panel has not only increased the vision through the sail, it has also increased durability.

The Phantom remains as Aerotech's most powerful wave sail. This sail has a very full shape and 6 battens so it lowers the planing threshold as low as possible. This sail is a wave sail first, but due to its stability and power it crosses over to freeride and bump-and-jump use quite well. The Phantom's ultra durable 100% grid construction and huge rante make this sail one of Aerotech's most popular models.
