Key Facts:
100% x-ply construction
Equal compatibility for standard or RDM mast
Balanced power and neutral performance
Maximum of control in every wind range
Radical and fast maneuvers, a neutral feeling and a precise control in every condition are the key points of the new Hammer. It appears a bit more direct and powerful than its forerunner, but always with controlled and balanced early planing power.
You will appreciate this agility especially while planing and between the sets.
If required, the profile is easily flattened, and thus excessive power is released by a harmonic twist and a concave leech, but without appearing nervous.
Construction and equipment have not been allowed any compromise. As a radical wave sail, the Hammer is built out of 100% reinforced x-ply materials with extra reinforcements in all of the stressed zones. |
|
| The test-winning Force is Robby's personal wave sail, designed to deliver maximum power in a package optimized for a wide range of wave conditions. Ideal for larger/ stronger riders, the early planing characteristics are also a big advantage to ALL riders when the going gets marginal. |
|
| The test-winning Session is Naish's didicated down-the-line wave sail, offering incredible balance and easy handling in the most radical maneuvers. The low center of effort and wide range make it ideal for both wave purists and lighter riders. |
|
CONSISTENT POWER, CONSISTENT CONTROL.
With a design emphasis on manageable power and upwind ability, the ALPHA is the sail in the NeilPryde wave collection that is best suited to onshore, or sometimes less than ideal, wave sailing conditions. Regardless of your size, ALPHA is the sail that delivers the power you need to get out of the disturbed air in the impact zone and into a good position "out the back" - and take best advantage of the conditions.
|
|
ALL ROUND PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY.
As NeilPryde's all-round wave sail, the COMBAT is equally at home in all types of wave sailing conditions, from huge onshore white water to perfect side-offshore winds and peeling waves. This, in combination with the COMBAT's "bomb proof" reinforced X-ply construction results in a sail that, no matter how much trouble you get yourself into, will see you on the other side.
|
|
INSTANT HANDLING, INSTANT RESPONSE.
Designed to excel in classic "down the line" conditions, the ZONE is the most neutral feeling sail in the NeilPryde wave collection. Precision handling, smooth power release and a soft feel combine to allow the rider to draw a tight bottom turn and solid cutback off the lip. In these conditions visibility and wave awareness is key - so the ZONE has a large window allowing the rider to observe the critical section of the wave. This combination of features makes the ZONE the weapon of choice for NeilPrydes' 3Z's - Jason Polakow, Levi Siver and Alex Mussolini.

The critical design feature is that the draft does not extend back.
The endobatten allows us to really wind up the batten tension and still keep the sail symmetrical and easy to flip. A traditional batten pocket would not work with my new profile.
The draft in the middle battens is very rigid, almost like having a cam, but the sail still has a soft feeling and flips easily. The fact that the batten is so locked makes the sails very stable. |

| The new VOODOO makes the most impressive use of the NORTH SAILS iMODULAR.DESIGN. Kai Hopf used it to strengthen the "sail frame" and employ an even more stable X.PLY 112 in the upper centre panel, without increasing the weight. This intelligent use of material in combination of double zig-zag seams makes the new VOODOO more durable than ever, letting you charge hard even on the biggest days. By the way, thanks to its slightly elastic vinyl window, the VOODOO is also the ideal sail for gusty, extremely windy days. The entire sail range fits on a single mast length - "One mast fits all" (400-19)! |
|
| "Extremely aggressive, direct, and - thanks to the new foot profile - neutral in your hands especially when descending a wave". This is how our team describes this radical 5-batten machine. Since the Ice was designed for riders of all weights, virtually everybody is impressed by the performance and lightning-fast reaction of this sail. This is made possible by the modified HYPER .LECH and the slightly more rigid top that makes the ICE even easier to control. It has a softer feel, and is easier to pump, as the whole sail is well connected, from head to foot. |
|
| Muscle-car windsurfing is back with a high-octane design that is optimized for speed blasting and floaty hang time. The Hucker is a power rider's dream - firm leech tensionl with lots of pitchy leverage that is purpose-built for just goin' fast and jumpin' high. |

BASH 2008: CHS' prodigal son.
The all-time Challenger sail proves to be a true all-rounder. Wave freestyle, bump and jump or on-shore, its range of use just gets better every time. Thanks to the introduction of the second mini-batten, integrated in the re-enforcements (you can't see it) and to the alternate battens on each side of the sail, you have total control and the balance of pressure is perfectly distributed over the three control points: clew, downhaul and top. The settings give ample range of use, extending grip even in over-power conditions. New luff pocket, new protectors, new anti-abrasion "gel" at sail foot to protect the seam. At CHS...nothing is left to chance! |
|
KONDA 2008: A Challenger's hard core wave sail !
The hard core CHS sail. With the "wave" fashion back in town and the search for radical conditions ever stronger, Challenger has added new features to make KONDA even easier to handle in the most demanding, big wave conditions. The sail remains slim when surfing but allows sufficient strength and speed when wave riding thanks to the rotating battens that don't touch the luff pocket, making it easier to neutralize or accelerate according to the rider's needs. The battens are positioned alternatively to the left and right side to guarantee max balance.New luff pocket, new protectors, new anti-abrasion foot "gel" to protect the seam. At CHS...nothing is left to chance. |

When we started designing the 2006 Goya Wave3D sail our main focus was improving the strength and reducing the weight We created a very maneuverabte sail with more low end power and high end control. What seemed a contradiction in the past has become realty with this year's model.
In all our sails we are using ful panel XPty. This Is for two reasons. The first one being that by allowing the full panel to flex we add more dynamics to the sail. Hence our sails are more powerful and forgiving. The second one being that we avoid having stitching through the sail's main surfaces and thus are not adding more tiny notes Into the sail than necessary. Hence our sails last a lot longer. The math Is easy, if you only use a third of the parts to make a sail, only a third can break. We are amazed at the feedback we get from customers, shops and schools around the world about just how little they spend on sail repair, once they switched to Goya Sails.
The 2008 W5 D features a hoi low leach, which means that we were able to reduce the areas that have the most effect on the feeing and handing of the sail. We distributed more of the surface around the foot batten and at the top, resulting in more low end power and creating that twisty hollow leach. Consequently this sail feels even lighter than its predecessors.
The mast sleeve features a white print on black cloth. This print doses the doth fibers, to make the sleeve stronger at the tearing points. It makes the sleeve water repellant and keeps the mast cooler. By not simply using a white sleeve doth, you can just wipe any dirt from this print |

The wave 2006 is an evolution of the 05 model in what concerns tension and profile, while the outline has been more radically changed. The foot is much higher, boom shorter and mast longer, making the sail more radical for wave riding. Profile and tension at the leech are more or less unchanged and mantain the excellent performances of the sail in planing, going upwind, speed and stability. The wave 2006 is an unique blend of radicality even in the most extreme conditions, and of performance in the lighter conditions, all in one sail.
The whole sail is in X-Ply fabrics except the 175 micron Monofilm window, which is framed with a wide Insignia reinforcement for the seams. The leech is X-Ply with unidirectional Kevlar threads, which in simple terms means bomb proof. The luff features a double luff panel, in dacron and X-ply. Once on the water, the sail features an incredible power and lightness, a super stable profile that does not move, battens that always stay behind the mast and don't rotate back and forth. Every single gust is immediately transformed in propulsion, without an increase of side-force. During wave manuevers, while bottom turning, any impulse given to the board through feet and rig is transferred directly and fluidly. During the top turn the sail remains super neutral. |
