The PETSEA RO systems are expandable and highly versatile being manufactured to each specific need, as they have pumps and hidraulic equipment that permit the installation of extra membranes to increase the water production without lowering the performance to the system.
Either the sea water equipments (SW) or brackish (BW), well or tap water equipments (TW), there is a wide range of products that go from our standard line up to the industrial line designed under the client specifications.

This operation is based on the principle of vacuum distillation. The sea water is boiled in vacuum at low temperatures in order to be transformed in steam. The steam passes through a monel strainer that eliminates any drop of water or strange particle, leaving only pure steam, that will pass to the condensation chamber.
The feed and seawater level are automatically controlled by devices already regulated at the factory so they do not need to be controlled by the user. The extra saltwater is continuously taken out from the system and pumped outside of the ship.
Once the system has been started, no adjustments are needed because of the automatic PETSEA VAP functioning, starting the fresh water production after several minutes. The freshwater is suctioned from the evaporator as soon as it is produced and pumped to the fresh water tank by means of a pump designed to work 24 hours a day.

The desalination plants quantum ro sw have been developed to work 24 hour/day continuously, obtaining fresh water of great quality from raw seawater, through reverse osmosis process.
Only the best materials and components are used in the making of these systems, in order to get the best quality and performance in the final product. The complete system comprises, besides of the RO module, a feeding pump and a pre-filtration treatment (sand filter and microfiltration cartridges) as standard configuration; different configurations of the system can be made, under customer requirement.
Production capacity of these units goes from 1 Ton per day to any capacity required by the client.

This type of generators produce fresh water through an evaporation process, for which they need a hot water feeding, coming usually from the cooling circuit of engines onboard.
