We’ve always been passionate about bringing stoked kids into the sport of wakeboarding. Faster and more explosive pretty well sum up Erik Ruck's new shape for 2008. Built off one of the best selling Hyperlite boards to date, Ruck made all the changes to perfect his ride. Starting with the rocker line, the new Era moves to a true 3 stage shape. Combine this with an increases in overall surface area and you have a recipe for massive pop. To ensure this rocker didn't slow his shape down Ruck re-designed the fret rails into a sharper, single profile for a responsive locked in edge. Since introduced in 2004 this deck took the wakeboarding scene by storm. Some say it is one of the greatest shapes ever created. Glassy conditions, stomping the biggest of double ups, tech tricks, huge carves, and even those rough days of choppy water. The Valhalla has proven to be a powerhouse in the O’Brien line and will be for quite some time. It’s already become a favorite of many team riders and the deck of choice for the rider wanting to push the limits this summer. The Valhalla has a variable beveled edge which is soft in the mid-section for a skate feel when flat, and smooth ride in rough conditions. The deck is equipped with a progressive 3-stage rocker. What does that mean you ask? That means this deck carries speed like a continuous rocker board, but pops like any other 3-stage board. Just for added kick off the wake we widened the tip and tail profile. The concave hull displaces water upon impact for softer landings, so you are already covered on all those huge airs you’ll be hooking up on.

The natural
Daniel Watkins-
After the debut season on the market, the Natural has already become one of the most innovative decks on the market. The legacy it has created only continues for 2007.
When designing this deck, our engineers sat down and worked the details out with Daniel Watkins. He wanted the board to have similar features to his last board, the Player. We pushed the limits with the already successful Player to create the Natural. For starters the molded fins were narrowed and/ or shortened to create less drag and let this deck build as much speed as possible. However this did not quite create the speed Daniel was looking for, so the chevron notches were introduced to the bottom of the board. Used in competition race boats for years, the chevrons help break water off the tail of the board making it ride higher and faster in the water. This gives you a 3-stage rocker board that adds many characteristics of a continuous rocker board, making it nearly compatible with any style of rider. The rails were fully rolled all the way up through and to the cupped rails, making the deck roll onto edge smoother for a more natural feeling. It also made the board more durable to sliders and kickers. Daniel loved the ultra smooth landings of the Player so we kept the same double concave in the middle of the board.

For those about to slaysh! We salute you! Shaped to offer the surfer who gets bored just cruising, the Tsunami is a trick surfers dream. Similar in shape to a skim board, this surfer will carve, spin, and flip it's way to a podium. Delivered with a nose fin as well as three fiberglass tail fins, it gives the surfer the ability to make it a different locked in feeling every time. The Broadcast boards are crafted with more of a traditional wakeboard rail for a deeper ride in the water. They are preferred by riders that want to surf the way they wakeboard. They offer quicker reacting, harder edging with more of a centered weight distribution for a knifing style of bottom turn.
