The Willdo Jet Thrusters are driven hydraulically (not electrically) by the propulsion engine. A hydraulic pump, which is fitted onto the propulsion engine, drives an hydraulic motor, located in the pump housing, which in turn activates a water pump, that sucks in the water through an opening in the bottom of the boat and presses it wih great force, via hoses with an inside diameter of no more than 45mm, to the nozzles in the sides of the boat.

This Vertically retractable thruster is ideal for sailing yachts between 45 - 70' since it keeps your hull lines clean and smooth. Its lightweight construction and ideal emersion depths means the unit can be installed far forward in the hull making it much more effective than a tunnel thruster.
Max Power's patented thrust plate transfers its lateral thrust through the hull of the yacht not from a cumbersome column. |
|
| The most compact thrusters available and ideal for boats where space is limited are the Compact series. Due to the innovative design they offer outstanding performance in a very compact envelope. They feature a belt transmission between motor and drive, which further reduces noise level and hence motor wear. |

SCHOTTEL Transverse Thrusters (STT) are built on the basis of the tried-and-tested underwater gearboxes of our Rudderpropellers. We supply standard Transverse Thrusters with FP or CP propellers rated at up to 1400 kW.
SCHOTTEL offers optimized solutions even for special applications in which extremely low noise generation is required. |
|
CMC's range of bow thrusters all feature dual contra-rotating propellers and are suitable for a wide range of uses. They can be fitted to vessels with steel, aluminum or composite hulls.
The use of dual contra-rotating propellers provides at least 30% more thrust from the same power and diameter of a single propeller unit. |
|
Swing retracting thrusters are ideal for higher performance sailing yachts, and fast planing or semi-displacement hulls. With the thruster in a raised position it offers a completely fair hull section causing minimum drag. Lewmar has now introduced a completely new and simple design, which is a logical step forward from the current successful range.
This design is in keeping with Lewmar's environmental concerns and has no hydraulic motors or hoses in the water. Unlike many manufacturers, all of this componentry is housed inside the hull, preventing pollution in the event of an oil leak. |

The SCHOTTEL Electric Propulsor (SEP) and the Siemens-SCHOTTEL Propulsor (SSP) are innovative propulsion systems which differ mainly in the kind of electric motors housed in the pods.
The two pillars of the SSP – a joint development of Siemens and SCHOTTEL – are the SCHOTTEL Twin Propeller technology and a permanently-excited motor (PEM) from Siemens characterised by its high efficiency and slim-line construction.
With the SEP SCHOTTEL offers a propulsion system with asynchronous or synchronous motors depending on the owner/shipyard request and application of the vessel.
|
|
The SCHOTTEL Twin-Propeller (STP) is the successful optimization of the complete Rudderpropeller system with an efficiency up to 20% higher. It is the ideal means of propulsion for all vessels in the medium speed range with application-related higher propeller loads.
Two propellers mounted on a common shaft and rotating in the same direction, with guide fins integrated into the complete system, result in a host of advantages, including high reliability due to the straightforward construction with a small number of moving parts, reduction of the propeller diameter without penalising the efficiency, lower fuel costs and low maintenance requirements. |

Strong and powerful the composite drive leg allows for a maintenance free thruster.
Thrusters are available in electric, hydraulic or electro-hydraulic power options for yachts between 20 - 90'.
Stern thruster packages can be fitted on yachts 35' and greater. |
|
| The 40S thruster gets every ounce of power you could want out of a 5" tunnel thruster. Side-Power's proprietary IPC system ensures safety and reliability while maintain high thrust output and low-noise operation. Customize your thruster system with our wide range of controls, remotes and other add-ons. |
|
| The ultra-compact 30S thruster offers the 60-85 lbs. of thrust in a package small enough to fit in boats as small as 20' loa. A sealed gearleg, high-performance prop and easy-access zincs make it a powerful and easy-to-maintain addition to any boat. |

Thrusters are not only helpful for large yachts, typically a light weight boat with a single outboard or stern-drive are even more difficult and stressful to handle in tight spots than larger yachts that are less effected by the wind. With its outstanding performance, excellent energy efficiency and
very compact installation size, the SP 55 Si IP includes all the important and unique Side- |
