The amps measure with a shunt in a positive circuit by a digital instrument is very rare and is non-existent in marine or only by parades which consist to make a negative "return" by the shunt wiring. It is due to the technical difficulty to use a +12V (or +24V) in reference to place of the zero/mass of the battery negative.

The universal ammeter NL227-001 allows an immediate reading of a direct current in Amperes, which results from sources of charge (alternator, battery charger, solar panels, etc.) and consumers in service who discharges the battery. It is the only device which can give an exact measure of an electric DC current.
Using a shunt allowing a hight accuracy for practise this measure. The shunt takes place in the positive circuit to be monitored.

Two or Four Way Bollards with the metering option. A range of meters can be supplied from the 100A rated Ofgem Approved meter primarily used in the two way unit to the din rail mounted single module 32A rated version utilised in the four way unit. Computerised metering and energy control can also be provided and an alternative brochure covering this option is available upon request. Illumination is provided by means of 2D 16 control gear and lamp along with a 6A Single Pole MCB and P12R Photocell.

By inserting a transponder key or card provided with pre-paid credit into the sealed reader, the client can select an energy socket and/or water tap.The distributions will start as soon as the client will have extract his how key and continues until either all the credit available has been used or the operation is cancelled and the residual credit refunded simply by reinserting the key or card.
