The Willdo Jet Thrusters are driven hydraulically (not electrically) by the propulsion engine. A hydraulic pump, which is fitted onto the propulsion engine, drives an hydraulic motor, located in the pump housing, which in turn activates a water pump, that sucks in the water through an opening in the bottom of the boat and presses it wih great force, via hoses with an inside diameter of no more than 45mm, to the nozzles in the sides of the boat.

The Model 24 is typically specified for vessels from 100-150ft (30-46m) in length. Available in aluminum for aluminum hulls, and in stainless steel for all other hull materials. The range of bow and stern thrusters has been developed and extended to include thrusters that incorporate the latest research findings and results of extensive trials in ship design laborato-ries and at sea. QL bow and stern thrus-ters are approved to 94/25/EEC.
The very efficient transfer of energy from motor to propeller, combined with the hydrodynamically shaped lower gear housing make QL bow and stern thrus-ters the most powerful in their respecti-ve power ranges. The design of the gear housing and propellers permits a large volume of water to pass through the tunnel, which in turn gives more power in relation to electricity consumption.
BP300 and BP450 have gear housings of acid-resistant steel with smaller di-mensions, which therefore provide even better throughput. All propellers come in High Speed specification, i.e. they are manufactured from glass fibre rein-forced acetal. A built-in electronic delay prevents damage to the motor through immediate switching of the direction of rotation."
