All propeller blades are tailor made for each vessel and designed by use of top modern design software and experienced designers to fit the vessel perfectly. The propeller hub and pitch-control mechanisms are designed by use of top modern FEM-analysis tools to ensure low weights and sufficient strengths to survive the most hazardous environments.

Propeller Design
All ships have individual needs. Speed is important for some ships. Towing pull is more important for others. To satisfy these needs Finnøy use the most suitable software together with Finnøys knowledge when designing propeller blades. The propeller blade is designed for best possible performance regarding thrust, efficiency, noise and vibration. The blades are ground and balanced according to ISO 484 standards.
