RENK offers comprehensive range of marine gear units. The program range from reversing gear units starting at 2,500 kW to main gear units for naval vessels with 40,000 kW and more of transmitted power, including all requisite control and monitoring systems.
Many of today's ships are equipped with CODAD (COmbined Diesel And Diesel), CODOG (COmbined Diesel Or Gasturbine), CODAG (COmbined Diesel And Gasturbine) or COGAG (COmbined Gasturbine And Gasturbine) propulsion plants.
CODAD plants are normally equipped with ASL, PSL, PWS type gear units. Special cross connection gears and CODELAG (COmbined Diesel Electric And Gasturbine) units, for electric motor and gasturbine propulsion complete the product range.

An airco inverter chiller is a system which can be installed in the engine compartment. This chiller unit will control its capacity according to what is being demand in its surroundings due to the applied inverter compressor technology. There is no current peak when switching on the compressor! The chiller unit supplies cold water (glycol) which flows through a tubing circuit and fan coil units, (through which air is pulled at the same time) and as a result it cools the surrounding areas. This system can cool any given area/cabin and the temperature and airflow can be controlled and adjusted separately. The sum of the capacity of the fan coil units, which have to function at the same time, results in the total capacity of the chiller unit. To install the entire unit any cool-technical
know-how is not required. A complete system consists out of the chiller unit, fan coil units and thermostats.
