Ship windows are produced according to binding standards and customer requirements. We manufacture windows of steel, brass, aluminum and stainless steel; opened, non-opened and sliding, rectangular, trapezial and double windows. In windows there can be according to needs: hardened, heated, rotating, transparent or matt glass.
The windows can be fitted with storm covers, blinds, mosquito curtains and opening limiters. For ships with higher fire risk LUBMOR produces windows of A0, A60 class.
We also offer window and porthole boxes which can be made of GRP, steel or stainless sheets. The window box casings have telescopic design for easy mounting, steel box casings can have additionally fire-resistant and damping mass. Window boxes can fulfill requirements of B15 class. Supply of the windows together with box casings guaranties accuracy and high quality of assembly.
The modern technology of window production assures high quality of the goods, full compatibility of casings and window parts. Precision manufacturing of window frames improves their fast mounting on the ships.

With ever more efficient cargo working in port being the objective, modern dry cargo vessels are tending to develop to a more ‘open’ trend, i.e. the size of the hatches compared with the deck area is growing. This implies that there is less stowage space available for the hatch covers, which has made the high-stowing hydraulic folding covers very popular.
We have a wide range of basic hatch cover designs, which includes both hydraulic and non-hydraulic operated covers. These items include pontoon, hinged, folding, side rolling, and simple pull covers for weather decks as well as multi-stacking, folding, and sliding covers for tween decks.

Single-panel types comprise one cover for each opening i.e. there are no joints. They are normally specified for bulk carriers in the case of single-opening abreast, and for cellular container ships in the case of multi-opening abreast configurations.
Piggy-back hatch covers are used on bulk carriers when the available deck space is insufficient to accommodate folding, side-rolling or end-rolling covers.
Side-rolling and end-rolling hatch covers are popular for use on the weatherdecks of larger bulk carriers such as Panamax and Capesize types. In the case of ore/bulk/oil (OBO’s) and ore/oil carriers, the covers are designed to sustain internal liquid loads.

Hatch Tightness Testing Device
HATCHTITE is a robust and versatile instrument for the reliable testing of water tightness of cargo hatch covers to prevent cargo damage.
Unlike hose and chalk tests, which only demonstrate whether or not there is contact between the rubber packing and compression bar, HATCHTITE indicates when you actually have the required compression to prevent water getting into the hold space.
HATCHTITE uses a transmitter placed inside the cargo hold (empty or with cargo) emitting ultrasound waves. With the hatch covers closed, a hand held telescopic microphone is used at the hatch cover interfaces.
The system is fully compliant with IACS Unified Requirement U.R.Z17 and approved by insurers and P & I clubs.
